ALL DOMESTIC FLIGHTS RETURN TO TERMINAL 1

Cebu, Philippines – Mactan-Cebu International Airport (MCIA) shall operate all Domestic Departures and Arrivals at Terminal 1 (T1) effective 15 October 2022, 00:01 PST. Effectively, Terminal 2 (T2) shall be dedicated for all International Departures and Arrivals.

MCIA continues to experience increased domestic traffic with domestic demand now at 67% of pre-pandemic levels. In the same period of 2019, daily average at MCIA tipped at 35,000 passengers for domestic and international. International traffic continues to take increased traffic from Korea, Japan, and Taiwan. In the next months, MCIA is also expecting resumption of flights from Hong Kong and China.

MCIA remains committed in ensuring smooth airport experience for its passengers and stakeholders. Thank you for your usual cooperation and understanding.

Travel Advisory for International Passengers Entering the Philippines. Updated as of January 28, 2022; 7PM

Effective February 1, 2022, fully vaccinated arriving Filipino citizens, Balikbayan under RA6768 and foreign nationals with valid and existing visas regardless of origin shall be allowed to enter the Philippines and shall no longer be required to observe mandatory facility-based quarantine as long as they are able to present a negative result of an RT-PCR test taken forty-eight (48) hours before arrival.

Effective February 10, 2022, fully vaccinated foreign nationals from visa-free countries, traveling for leisure, will be accepted, and will also no longer be required to undergo quarantine as long as they are able to present a negative result of an RT-PCR test taken forty-eight (48) hours before arrival.

Visa-free countries include the following Cebu Pacific stations:
• Australia
• Brunei
• Indonesia
• Japan
• Malaysia
• Singapore
• South Korea
• Thailand
• United Arab Emirates
• Vietnam

The following are allowed to enter the Philippines without a visa for a stay not exceeding fourteen (14) days:
1. Holders of Hong Kong Special Administrative (SAR) passports
2. Holders of Macau Special Administrative Region (SAR) passports

The following are allowed to enter the Philippines without a visa for a stay not exceeding seven (7) days:
1. Holders of Macau-Portuguese passports
2. Holders of Hong Kong British passports

Effective February 16, 2022, other foreign nationals from all other countries will also be allowed to enter the Philippines with additional guideline and requirements, including full vaccination.

In compliance guidelines issued by the Department of Transportation, AirAsia Philippines will continue to fly fully vaccinated guests to and from its Manila hub, as well as certain unvaccinated guests who have been granted exemptions. All AirAsia guests must also be compliant with the requirements under the DOTr guidelines, as well as the latest travel requirements & regulations set by the respective Local Government Units (LGUs) of their destination.

UPDATE: Iloilo City has updated the travel requirements for tourists wishing to visit. The requirements are as follows:

• Prior to travel: Secure an approved S-Pass Travel Coordination Permit

• On the day of travel: Present approved S-Pass Travel Coordination Permit upon check-in with airline or seacraft along with VaxCert or Vaccination Card for fully-vaccinated individuals.

• Upon arrival:
-Fully Vaccinated individuals must submit to RT-PCR testing, which is available for FREE at the Lapaz Gym, then quarantine until results are released.
-Partially Vaccinated and Unvaccinated individuals must proceed to hotel quarantine for mandatory 3 day quarantine. On the 3rd Day, guest must proceed to Lapaz Plaza for FREE RTPCR testing then return to quarantine until the release of negative result.
