A worker at a Tesla factory in Austin, Texas, got hurt when a robot malfunctioned. The incident, mentioned in a 2021 injury report, happened as the engineer was programming the software for robots cutting car parts. Witnesses said the robot grabbed the engineer, causing an open wound on his hand.
The engineer broke free when a colleague hit the emergency stop button. Tesla has faced criticism for safety issues at its Giga Texas plant, with a higher rate of injuries than other auto factories.
