It was never a one day Eid for us. It used to be a whole week of festivity and celebration, zeal and fervor with plentiful meet and greet days.
We used to spend Chaand raat in decoratingthe home.
Then life happened and distances seperated us.
Responsibilities increased and so did duties.

Eid now starts with greeting Eid Mubarak across the globe to those friends like family via whatsapp.
Eid now means calling the elderly family members to convey salam and greetings.
Eid now means taking the last available time out for mehendi application or even skipping it completely.
Eid now means finding your matching jewellery.
Eid now means greeting your inlaws and getting eager to visit your parents.
Eid now means exchanging pictures with your friends and family abroad and this way, making them a part of your celebrations.
Eid then was distinct.
Eid now is different.
Eid Mubarak to those celebrating today. ❤
