We celebrate Iraq during the leadership of Zubaida, a queen of unmatched calibre.

It is claimed to be one place of origin of the paisley form, possibly dating back to 1700 BCE Iraq.

The paisley shape is rich in symbolism - the teardrop form is thought to symbolize the cycle of life and the ascension of soul towards the divine.

Rania (Fuschia) is inspired by the exclusive beauty exuded by Queen Zubaida. The drape of the dress ushers softness, elegance and enchantment.

The motif of this gown has a classic Iraqi vibe where the longitudinal lines symbolizes the water works and the entwined floral motifs radiate through the whole outfit. The motifs are all intricately hand embroidered with dabka, naqshi and resham, inspired by the ornate designs of Queen Zubaida and the Abbasid Caliphate.

And most importantly meeting customer needs and wants at all times. Annie Shahzada, owner and buyer for GuleNoor Signature Couture has more than 20 years experience in the fashion retail industry. Her vision of providing excellent customer service and the latest in fashions to women of all ages has made GuleNoor Signature Couture a favorite among shoppers. Annie opened Annie’s Fashion Collection Boutique in 1991 in a small apartment in Mississauga carrying only casual and party wear. As her business grew, she increased her area to include inventory for ladies bridal wear. Always wanting to provide her loyal customers with unique, fun and quality clothes, her fashion sense and customer service became synonymous with her Boutique. Outgrowing the first location, Annie moved to Mississauga Thomas and Tenth Line Area. She went to Pakistan for a couple of years learning Textile Printing and Hand Silk Painting Courses. She conducted numerous Exhibitions while staying there. After returning back to Canada she formed a new company by the name of GuleNoor Signature Couture, to the current location, in Brampton, where she formed her The Shoppe, which, is home to Fashion Boutique focused on providing high-end or niche products to women ages 15 and onwards.
