Jewish Culture Festival in Krakow
One of the oldest and largest Jewish Culture festivals in the world, presenting contemporary Jewish culture from Israel and Diaspora, held in beautiful venues of Krakow's Jewish district of Kazimierz. Founded by Janusz Makuch and Krzysztof Gierat in 1988, has become one of the most important cultural events in Krakow and the most recognizable cultural event both in Poland and abroad. Every year more than 30,000 from all around the globe come to Kazimierz - Krakow’s Jewish quarter - to experience diversity and beauty of Jewish culture.
Anniversary 30th edition of the Jewish Culture Festival will be celebrated in the summer of 20201, and it will be dedicated to the second of four elements: the fire.
But we do not want to keep you waiting so long and that’s the reason we would like to invite you to the 30th JCF: Prologue, that will start in late June and last until Hanukkah! Before we will set the fores of the anniversary edition, we would like to celebrate with you a light, because – as Janusz Makuch, founder and director of the festival says:
Jewish Culture Festival in Krakow has absorbed but in the same time – emanated with the living light of the Jewish culture for past 32 years. This is the Eternal Light – Ner Tamid.
