Thanks to everyone who attended our 21th event! We have tried our new games bought in Essen and had lots of fun!

Imhotep : As being 2016 Golden Geek Best Family Board Game Nominee, it maintains its place in our hearts by enabling us to build pyramids, obelisks, altars and chambers in ancient Egypt 🛕

Codex Naturalis : To be such a compact game, it packs a surprising punch. It’s strategic, a bit of a point salad with several ways to score points, and beautiful on the table. A perfect game for a fun break between larger games, or when you have a short time to play but want a light, engaging experience 🌿

Flamme Rouge : We love how the mechanisms of the game tie into the theme of cycling, such as slipstreaming, getting exhaustion cards if your rider is on the front of the pack, ascents and descents 🚴🏼 It's really fun when all the cards are revealed and you advance each cyclist. Did your played card work out or are you going to get blocked? Will you be able to benefit from slipstreaming or will you be getting exhausted on the front of the pack 💆‍♂️ Despite only one of us being an avid cyclist, we both really enjoyed playing this game.

Santa Monica : Ever dreamed of being on a nice sunny beach, where the surfing is great and the food is delish? Well if you’re us, then you definitely have because weather in Warsaw at the moment is not satisfied😏, and there are no beaches near us at all. But Santa Monica can give you the illusion of being on the nice warm beaches of Santa Monica ☀️

White Castle:Matcha: One of the best of 2024! ❤️ We are very happy with the route that the designers took for this expansion, adding content that feels like the one that was already present in the base game. It is well integrated and adds the potential of greater combo possibilities and strategies, giving the game a lot more replayability. In addition, it made the solo mode much more approachable while still being challenging 🍵

Secret Hi**er: This is a tense hidden role game that never outstays its welcome 🕵️ It has rules and playing grids that are specially balanced for different numbers of players, from seven upwards (that's seven players not age seven! ☺️). And yes, we were fighting 😁

We have news about a Kickstarter that has released yet. Waiting to test and review it 😊

Check out Age of the Moon, a strategic board game now on Kickstarter! 🌔 Set during the New Space Race, players become leaders building the first habitable lunar base, balancing resources, infrastructure, and alliances. Inspired by real science and created by space industry experts, it’s a game of strategy and exploration. 🤓

Pre-order or support the project here, and please share with fellow space and board game fans! 🌕🎲

Thanks to everyone who attended our 20th event! We have tried our new games bought in Essen and had lots of fun!

Quest of Valeria : It is is a unique set collection game where players gather Citizens to fill requirements on a Quest. Hiring Citizens from the line in the Tavern provides additional actions to build combo's of free actions! Finished with 2 points difference😮

https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/187680/quests-of-valeria

Skyrockets : As I love 'Magic Maze' so much, this year's same concept game was meant to buy 😉 It is an exhilarating game with an easy concept of keeping the timers going while waiting for the main timer to deplete. It is the scenarios that brings this game to life for me. Every time I play this game the engine is mostly the same but the challenge feels vastly different. The best part about the challenge setup is not only do they reward you with an unlockable package for completing all 30 scenarios, but each scenario is also infinitely replayable. This is a real-time game that is played in under 10 minutes, is easily portable and great with any player count.

Age of Thieves : After 8 years, had a chance to play this hidden gem again 😊 It is a really good medium weight game with the theme of a heist movie and a structure to match. Its highly backstabby and solitary nature does make me yearn for a co-operative or team variant to the game - someone to run interference as you dash through the cobbled, rain-slicked streets - but it’s immersive and packs plenty of tense decisions and opportunities for sabotage😁

Faraway : Again and again and again. We love this game too much 🥰

Thanks to everyone who attended our 2nd event back to Essen Spiel'24! We tried our new games bought in Essen and had lots of fun!

Verdant : We opened our event with Verdant, which started landing on the table at every event. Even the names of Azul and Sagrada have become unreadable 😅 Although the game weight is low, towards the end of the game, you have to spend a lot of time placing new rooms and plants because the plants you place in your house no longer give points. While your hand goes to one token, your other hand wants to go to the other plant (you have to go to the same token and plant in the game)😟It never slows down from the tempo as it ends with close scores. It is taking firm steps towards becoming the best gateway I bought from Essen this year 😀

S.E.T.I : Later, at the next table, it was being returned from this year's heavy hitters, S.E.T.I. I had the opportunity to play the game for 1 round in Essen and I liked it very much. I can't wait to play the game in fullplay.

Candy Hunters : We tried Candy Hunters, a game sold out in Essen by our bestie Polish board game company Smart flamingo 🥰The game is a simple gateway but a Hallowen game with a taste of player interaction 👻 We try to score the houses according to the shapes on the cards and try to stay in those houses and avoid ghosts in the house🥶

Fliptown : As a long-time fan of flip and write games, I was able to catch Fliptown, which was on my radar last year, in Essen this year. I simply loved the game. My current top flip and write game at the moment. In the game, as bandits, you determine your moves with the poker deck and steal points, money and gold on the path, in the town, mine and grave 😱

Faraway : And we closed the event with Faraway, one of the best gateway of the last year. We played with pleasure, getting a little crazy from constantly thinking about the scoring system. It is seen as a candidate to land on the table at every event 🫡

Thanks to everyone who attended our first event back to Essen Spiel'24! We tried our new games bought in Essen and had lots of fun!

Verdant: It was considered one of the most successful games of 2022 and it showed that it deserved it. It has Cascadia-like mechanics, but is more fun and more deep. Planting our flowers in pots and trying to grow them with enough sunlight is like therapy 🙂

Las Vegas Royal: Several players attended our event just to play this game. Oh my god, such a casino! Yes, we always say, board game is not a gambling game. But unfortunately this game proved us liars 🫣 The game continued with dozens of intrigues, tricks, backstabbing and lots of laughter. It is a candidate for those who should be on the table at every event.

Sea Salt&Paper: The game has not had enough awards since it received the best light game award of 2022. Even in 2024, still received the best game awards from USA and Netherlands. And the artwork is gorgeous! 😍 We couldn't even play the game because we were looking at the origami cards. We wanted to continue the game, but due to time constraints, we had to finish without playing the last round. We will play again at our next event 😊

This year, as in other years, we attended the world's largest board game fair, Essen Spiel'24, which took place between 3-6 October. It was a tiring and fun fair where we tried the newest games of the year and next year's games, spent time with demos, and ran after auctions and second-hand games. As we add more than 50 new games to our library, we expect you all to the Special Spiel'24 event this Sunday (13.08.2024).

Thanks to everyone who attended our event. We again played latest released and kickstarter games.

Harmonies : Perfect combination of Azul, Reef and Cascadia. This year's best filler game.

Sagrada : Old friend never dissapoints. A perfect dice drafting and placement game.

Canvas: Reflections : New expansion of Canvas base game. This time, cards also has mirror effect that needs more overthinking.

Oh Crab! : Smart flamingo 's New kickstarter game. While you are trying to reach your tiny crab to the sea over various obstacles, also pushing other crabs to obstacles. A perfect family game, definitely recommended 😊

Cryptid : Brainburner deduction game trying to find a creature with a give hint.

Eye2Eye : Pocket size, fast (30sec), very funny, 2 player game. Regarding to developer, also a team mode is on the way. Thanks to Smart Flamingo for gifting us the game 😊
