Here’s a break down of the steps and products I used to do this tattoo cover up.
1- Prep the skin: I used @mehronmakeup skin prep pro toner. This toner helps keep the skin matte and creates a moisture barrier between the skin and the makeup. The skin must be completely dry before applying color corrector
2-Color corrector: I used a red/orange corrector because it’s neutralizes the dark tones of the tattoo ink. Color correcting is needed to help get the most coverage possible.
3-Set: I set with @dermablendpro translucent powder after color correction. This will ensure the orange tone is set and the foundation has a place to adhere to. Creating the best base for the foundation to adhere to. Also set with powder after the foundation.
4-Body foundation: use a foundation that’s meant to be used on the body. I use @dermablendpro it’s one of the best foundations to cover tattoos and anything unwanted on your client. This makes sure you or your client don’t have to worry about transferring on to clothes. Especially not a wedding dress!!
5-Fix it: I used the best fixing spray in my opinion to seal in my work. The @patrickstarrr fixing spray is going to lock in all that work and make sure it won’t budge all day and night!
•Tattoo cover ups for clients is an added service. I always recommend a trial is done. Some tattoos are darker than others and I want my bride to have the right expectation of what the outcome will be. A trial will also be a perfect chance to see how it will last and if there is any transfer.
•I only take cover ups on a case by case basis. A lot depends on if there is enough time wedding morning and the size of the tattoo.
