🥂 When to send your Wedding Invitations

One Year to Six Months Out

- Send save-the-dates. These are the first order of business.

Six Months Out

- Choose and order wedding invitations.
These will set the tone for the wedding by giving guests a glimpse of your theme and color palette.

- In addition to the invitation itself, your stationery suite should include:
> A response card with instructions to confirm or decline assistance.
> Details about your wedding website (if you have one).
> Where to find travel or hotel room block information.

Six to Eight Weeks Out

- Send wedding invitations.
For destination wedding invitations, we recommend sending them even farther in advance (up to three months before the wedding date) to give your guests plenty of time to make the necessary travel arrangements if they haven't already.

- Send Welcome Party and Rehearsal Dinner invitations.
If you're hosting a welcome party for your guests the night before the wedding, that information should be included with the invitation suite or posted on your wedding website after they're mailed out.

4 Steps to Preserving a Wedding Cake

Pre-Freeze It
Remove all decorations and place in the freezer until the icing hardens.

Wrap It
Remove from the freezer and loosely wrap it in several layers of plastic wrap. Place in a box or air tight container. Don’t use aluminum foil — it could lead to freezer burn.

Seal It
Place the decorations around the wrapped cake in the box or air tight container, then wrap it in several layers of plastic wrap for the best chance of preserving taste and texture.

Eat Up!!
Two days before your anniversary, take the cake out of the freezer, remove the wrapping from the box and the cake, then allow it to thaw for 24 to 48 hours in the refrigerator and 2 to 3 hours out of the refrigerator to come to room temperature.
