Conservatório Regional do Baixo Alentejo is a non-profit association, equivalent to a Public Utility Institution, incorporated with the main objective of implementing a School of Arts,with training provision and activities in the areas of music and dance. In the area of promotion of cultural activities and cultural dissemination the Conservatório promotes artistic and cultural program, with stude

nts and teachers in all of the lower Alentejo region and cooperates and participates in cultural projects organized by other organizations and cultural agents. The Alentejo International Percussion Festival is divided in two competitions: the first one in composition, due for release in September 2015, and the second in the performance area (which includes conducting master classes and conferences guided by the members of the jury, performance contest, and concerts performed by jury members or other training external contributors to the festival).
