Being Earth Day we couldn't help but remembering Joana & Luísa's wedding!
They are as passionate for the environment as for each other and chose to:

🌿 offer reusable water bottles;
🌿 have one large menu, rather than menus for each guest;
🌿 use local and seasonal flowers for their table decor!

What else would you suggest for an eco-friendly wedding?

Aᴏɪғᴇ & Eᴜɢᴇ́ɴɪᴏ already had a strong connection with Portugal so their choice of having 𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗲-𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗱-𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗿 made sense from the start.⁣

Still, we were happy to detour from the darker shades of blue onto this cornflower blue and with the 𝗯𝗲𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗺𝗶𝘅 of boho & classical elegance!⁣

We were wondering if dedicating a post to 𝗳𝗼𝗼𝗱 would make sense but, given you’re traveling all the way to 𝗣𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗴𝗮𝗹, 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝘄𝗲 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗸 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗼𝗱?⁣

We tend do sᴘᴇɴᴅ ʜᴏᴜʀs ɢᴀᴛʜᴇʀᴇᴅ ᴀʀᴏᴜɴᴅ ᴀ ᴛᴀʙʟᴇ, we discuss ʀᴇᴄɪᴘᴇs over and over (specially if we’re hungry) and, no matter how comfortable our living rooms are, we can ᴇxᴘᴇᴄᴛ ᴛᴏ ʜᴀᴠᴇ ᴀʟʟ ᴏᴜʀ ғʀɪᴇɴᴅs ɪɴ ᴏᴜʀ ᴋɪᴛᴄʜᴇɴ!⁣

We have to admit we have been lucky to come across some very 𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝘂𝗻 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘀 since we started planning weddings! ⁣
⁣
Jᴇssɪᴄᴀ & Pɪᴇᴛᴇʀ got married in August and we knew how 𝗵𝗼𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗴𝗲𝘁! Add in the fact that the wedding was taking place in a 𝗯𝗲𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗴𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗻 and the 𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗱𝘀𝗲𝘁 🌿 of these two and you’ll understand why the confettis and petals were replaced by... 𝗔𝗻𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗹-𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗲𝗱 𝘀𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝘁 𝗴𝘂𝗻𝘀! 😁⁣
