One of the best parts of living abroad is how real friendships grow from simple moments. This week I joined friends for the olive harvest — watching olives go from tree to mill to pure green-gold.

It reminded me that making friends abroad isn’t instant… it’s a journey built through shared experiences, laughter, and being welcomed into traditions that mean something.
