Sundays are for Brunch in Marrakech!

This post-birthday celebration added another layer of the overall guest experience to this Sunday brunch which then progressed into party of course! The entire afternoon was peppered with entertainment, music, gifts, delicious food and mimosas!
It all took place right in the heart of an exclusive private venue, in the Marrakech medina which everyone loved experiencing!
The cherry on the cake was when our wonderful client gave us the dress code: sprezzatura style!

We designed this welcome dinner in Sintra with a nod to Portuguese linens in stripes and patterned 18th century prints which we layered on the tables and the market stalls.

It all created an overall, harmonious effect and gently added embellishment which matched the dazzle of the vintage gowns! It was all so chic and fun 💛

The cocktail hour took place in a former sheep corral, a welcoming area of the estate for guests to admire the surrounding and the sunset.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Here we used soft furnishings, textiles and antiques to create interesting layers in our design.
For the porcelain plate wall feature (the central plate unfortunately fell, hence the gap!) each plate was intentionally sourced in local markets, hours were spent rummaging the dusty corners of Lisbon antique shops to find the perfect tureen to style the bar area.

It was a lovely bucolic setting for this destination wedding 🌿

The old world grandeur of this Lisbon Palace against vibrant blue and soft pastel tones made the evening feel like a vivid mirage ✨
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Some styling notes for those interested in how we approach design for a destination wedding!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We prefer elegant and delicate florals rather than gigantic displays, so guests can actually see and talk comfortably.
Note how intentionally placed greenery which flowed onto the linen looks so graceful.
So florals don’t have to be gigantic to add impact!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We like to use artists for stationery design, not graphic designers, this way we know each wedding will have a truly personalised and professional design.
The hand-painted trellis menu added the English garden look we so admire.
Our creative director loves vintage markets, and when she can adds personal touches. In this case the brass duck card holders for the head table!
Brining in the local culture with an azulejo tile.
Guests each had a hand-painted tile with the image of their main dish, so servers knew the dinner preferences and then it doubled as a keepsake.

Guest comfort, beautiful touches and a playful feel is a must!

An intimate, floral filled wedding ceremony in the garden area of the prettiest of Lisbon Palaces with all the colours coming together harmoniously.

Ducks are traditional Korean wedding birds, and aside the real live ducks swimming in the Palace pond, wedding rings were placed in an embroidered Korean silk pouch which held two lucky wooden ducks 🦆

Fashion Friday!
This bridal party stole the show with their playful peacock toned inspired dresses which were all curated by our very fashionable bride of course 🦚

Drinks were given to guests as they sat for the garden ceremony, and they all looked like movie stars!
We also loved how the jewellery all tied-in to the vintage Hollywood glam look of the event!
