The decision to 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗻 𝗼𝗿 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗮 𝘄𝗲𝗱𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 is a hotly debated topic with no right or wrong answer. Ultimately it is a personal choice made by the bride and groom.

My advice is: Do what works for you. There is no right or wrong answer.

If you choose to have children attend your wedding, I recommend 𝗸𝗲𝗲𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝘆!
You will be happy you did and their parents will thank you.

PRO TIP:
𝗸𝗶𝗱𝘀 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘀 – chicken fingers, pizza, and whatever suits their fancies! Kid’s meals could be less expensive, but they are also fast, fun, will keep them entertained and they will actually eat!

𝗸𝗶𝗱𝘀 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 – choose to have a kid's table (this will depend on their ages) or have them sit with their parents, and give them something to do! A goodie bag of coloring books, toy cars, stickers, and maybe a little candy will keep them busy while you get through dinner and speeches. Kids love to make cards and present it to the bride and groom so let them craft it up.

Whether you choose to use the flowers to bulk up your Wedding favors, or even instead of your wedding favors, simply ask the stylist to make mini bunches of the flowers from the ceremony and then hand them out to guests at the reception.

The flowers are one of the most beautiful details of a Wedding day, and one of the best ideas I heard from one couple was that they 𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺 𝗮𝘀 𝗴𝗶𝗳𝘁𝘀 for their guests.

Planning your wedding can be stressful and time-consuming, and it’s for 1 or 2 years, but marriage is for a lifetime, and challenges will take their course slowly.

Knowing this, how will you keep your relationship strong during wedding planning?

An afternoon event is shorter ☀️

You’ll find it easier to stick to a tight wedding budget and you can hold a dinner and have tea after the wedding cake.

An afternoon wedding can open up your venue choices. You can hold an elegant affair in the conservatory of a stately home or country house hotel and maybe even have a string quartet playing as people arrive in the mellow afternoon light.

Bear in mind that if you have invited young children, they might become bored, tired, and grumpy in the evening time.

Consider your budget if you'll have an all-day wedding day.

It is lovely for you, and you’ll need to think carefully about your guests' wants and needs if you’re entertaining them from lunchtime through to midnight.
An all-day event goes on for longer.

If you’re holding your ceremony at 11 am then you’ll need to offer your guests refreshments immediately afterward and greet your evening guests with drinks and canapés before the first meal, whether it’s a buffet, formal sit-down, or something informal.

Have you thought about what you are going to do with your wedding flowers after your wedding day?

Why not donate your wedding flowers to a local charity, hospital, or nursing home and offer to give the flowers to someone less fortunate; avoid throwing them out after the reception 😇

The organization may come and pick them up straight from the reception, or alternatively, you can ask your bridesmaids to deliver them for you the day after the wedding.

1. If you'll have a destination wedding or you'll marry in the holiday season, send your invitations 𝟲/𝟭𝟮 𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵𝘀 𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗿.

2. If you sent your Save the Dates, you may send your wedding invitations 3/4 months before your wedding date.

😏 Organize your wedding inspiration like a pro.

Pinterest is a wonderful tool to collect inspiration and you can organize your ideas by creating a few boards by topic.

These boards, with your saved pins, will be your reference when you’re preparing for meetings.
For example, wedding dresses, hair and makeup, accessories, wedding party, gifts, flowers, stationery, music and lighting,.

This way, by creating boards, you can start organizing your inspiration, and later, you can invite your vendor to see your boards online.

Here goes a PRO TIP:
Before your meeting with your vendor, select 7/10 photographs for each category instead of having 30 or more, because less is more, and your vendor will understand your ideas clearly.

Collecting addresses of your wedding guests can be super easy 😊

You should start gathering addresses as soon as you start planning your wedding.
You’ll need these addresses to send your Save the Dates.

Postable.com is a tool that will save you hours texting and calling your wedding guests to get their mailing addresses.
The website will create a customized link that you can email to your guests that allows them to add their mailing information directly into a digital address book that only you can access.

Remember this 👉 Log the email and phone number of your guests on the same spreadsheet.

I'll share one professional fear, if you could refer to it as that... but it's my main focus before the production of any item, and the step you should give more importance to.

I'm sure you have already bought personalized items, and we often look at the final work and read it diagonally, but I have to tell you that it's in that moment where the biggest mistakes can happen.

For example, most of our items are personalized, and therefore, we always send the digital proof for confirmation of approval.

I proactively ask you to reread the digital proofs before production.

It's a big responsibility and that's why I always insist on proofreading...

From my experience of 6 years as a stationer, the percentage of error is less than 0.8%, but they still happen,
and it's heartbreaking when you notify me about them.

So, I need to share this pertinent advice with you...

Whenever you buy a personalized item, whether online or not, please 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗶𝘁, as you never know if your brain hasn't identified any mistakes 🤷‍♀️
