🌳💫💛A call for an Volunteering Facilitator at Spirala EcoVillage 💛💫🌳

We are looking for someone to join our team at Spirala EcoVillage, a collective-run campsite & venue in a unique role that focuses on facilitating the well-being and development of the team of volunteers. As the experience in an exchange period can be profound, impactful and sometimes challenging, we see the importance of having someone to accompany and support the process.

If you are keen on holding space for others, listening & being supportive, and nurturing community well-being, we’d love to hear from you!

What we offer:
⛺ Accommodation in a caravan with water and electricity.
🌲 10 hectares of scenic landscape and shared eco-friendly facilities; Kitchen, showers and toilets.
🍆 We provide vegan products and cooking is often made together.
🤩 A chance to be part of a very exciting project that tries to set an example and be fair and kind towards people & planet.

What we expect:
🕰️ ~5 hours engagment per day
⌛ Minimum commitment of 6 months from March 2025 onwards
🍀 Your role is not about managing volunteers’ tasks, but about supporting emotional well-being, personal growth and group dynamics & integration.

Two weeks ago happened in .ecovillage something extraordinary!!

We started our reforestation project with a SYNTROPIC FARMING workshop led by magnificent Ana & Jaime: .agroforesta & .

15 people, we gathered to learn the Syntropic philosophy. We learned about compost and green matter 🌿, about localization of the soil nutrition, about being fair and balanced with nature and the animal-beings who live here 🐗, about the duty (and beauty) of prickly pears 🌵 as water accumulators about inclusive agriculture and how to work with nature and the environment in which we live. We learned a ton!

We planted the first section of our Syntropic forest, brining hundreds of seeds and cuttings together…

It was a very very exciting journey. Ana & Jaime are wonderful, enthusiastic and knowledgeable teachers are the group of people who gathered together to learn was fun and inspiring to be with..

Super excited and grateful for this opportunity of reforestation our land.. we will keep you posted with the developments 🌳🦌

Apparently SYNTROPIC FARMING is even more exciting & inspiring that we imagined.

We are not in the middle of the seminar yet but we already learned (and noted) so so much.. have you ever imagined that in the right way, you can plant even 10-12 trees along narrow 2 meter?!?! And they will support each other, and each other‘s related microorganisms.

It’s magic in action and we are so so pleased to be part of the happening ✨🌺🌵🌳🌀.

We are lucky and grateful to have knowledge and kind neighbors as Pedro from that helped us today to prepare cuttings for our forest generation project starting this weekend with the SYNTROPIC FARMING workshop at .ecovillage!!!

These days we pick olives at .ecovillage so we’ll have nice organic olive oil for the coming year.. a wonderful activity to bring hearts together…

We are going to use what we trimmed as organic matter for the seeding and planting we are going to do on our SYNTROPIC FARMING workshop next weekend 🌳🌀🍃🍄🍄‍🟫.

We are the Spiralas, a group of friends developing our vision of a non-profit-driven CAMPSITE and a CO-CREATION HUB in Castelo Branco distrcit, Portugal.

We are excited to open Spirala for another round of exchange until beggining-mid December. We are looking for people who'd like to join us and build, dig, learn, laugh, organize, screw, meditate, dance, cook and be together.
