A participant can only win once, all participants will receive PXA-Q AOY Participation Points (7 Points), but no championship points will be awarded.
MECHANICS
1. The tournament will be an individual shore fishing competition and will be held at Khor Al Udaid, Inland Sea on January 25-26, 2024 (Thu-Fri) from 11:00pm to 8:00am;
2. Meeting point will be at Sealine deflating area, all participants must be at the meeting point at 9:30pm;
3. The Tournament Marshals will designate and provide transportation to participants (without SUVs) but they must share petrol/washing expenses with the assigned car owner;
4. The fishing types to be used are lure casting, shore jigging or bait-and-wait; Allowed location shown in the picture will be from Sheraton Spot all the way to the Dead Spot with designated Tournament Marshals at both ends.
5. Wading is not recommended, Dead Spot is called a Dead Spot for the obvious reason, so all people will know that wading the water is deadly.
6. Participants can use a maximum two (2) rods at a time and may bring extra sets as spare; use of net, spear, balloon, cannon, drones and hand lines are not allowed;
7. Target species are those listed on our PXA-Q BnR list only with the following weight multipliers;
7.1) Class S = Weight x 2.0

7.2) Class A = Weight x 1.5

8. Winners will be determined by the highest weight x multiplier only; Once an entry catch is landed, send a picture and/or a video of the freshly caught fish to the coordination group chat (to be created before the event), notify the nearest Tournament Marshal to pre-validate the entry and should be brought to the designated weighing station for official weighing before 8:00am for final validation. Weighing of entries will be closed at 8:00am, late entries will be forfeited even if it was pre-validated. Tie breakers will be length, then girth;
9. In case of bad weather or if the Tournament Marshals deemed it not possible to hold the event at the venue or for whatever reasons, the event will be postponed or cancelled accordingly;
10. Entry fee is QR100.00 for 2 set of rod/reels excluding any other expenses;
11. Participants are advised to bring their food, extra drinks, first aid kits and only necessary items; please travel lightly. Coolers will be inspected and checked randomly by Tournament Marshals.
12. You can register by commenting your name below followed by with car or without car for transportation arrangement. DEADLINE FOR REGISTRATION/CANCELLATION is January 22, 2024; You can tag your friends but only the participant can register officially;
13. ENTRY FEE should be arranged in each car and to be given to any of our Tournament Marshals in the deflating area before dispatch;
14. Ensure to adhere to all rules, guidelines, restrictions and laws of the host country Qatar;
15. Awarding ceremony will be announced after the tournament;
