That’s a wrap on AMWE 2024!
After two intense days of welcoming 400+ international speakers on stage, 220+ exhibitors on the floor plan, many exciting strategic partners, and more than 3,000+ people in the audience, the 8th edition of Autonomy Mobility World Expo and inaugural Solar & Battery, Sustainable Rail, and Fleet & Corporate Mobility Summits, has ended.
Day 1 started with welcoming remarks by Sylvain Waserman, President of the French Agency for Ecological Transition, who familiarized us with approaches and methodologies that ensure a successful ecology transition not just in France— but for cities across the globe to adopt.
On the summit stage, speakers from leading innovators such as Europcar, Geotab, and Mobilize Power Solutions covered the challenges preventing seamless EV fleet adoption, what compliance measures to prepare for by 2030, and success cases from hubs across Vienna to Oslo. We learned about the power of bottom-up activations, like BABLE Smart Cities RAIL4CITIES project, which promotes railway stations as a main actor for sustainable cities, and about the perspectives opened to the promise of autonomous solutions by innovators of the AI space.
Day 2 was about a key topic area introduced to this year’s program: The Solar & Battery Summit.
Once again, the stage was filled with key energy leaders like Solsystce, EDF, and EIT InoEnergy. They reminded us of the necessary environmental and cost-saving benefits of harnessing PV installations in public and private properties. Moreover, as global pressure mounts to curb emissions in the transportation sector, presenters emphasized how crucial solar power and battery systems will be for transforming fleets to 100% carbon-neutral.
This international gathering is a reminder of the palpable need the Expo and Summits serve— to get together the leaders of decarbonized technology and foster the relationships needed to shape a cleaner road, city, and business model of the future.
