casanova was born in Connecticut and began playing drums and guitar before eventually finding his passion in Electronic Music in 2000. His first vinyl release was in 2004 on New York's Sifted Recordings, and he has since built a substantial discography consisting of four full-length albums and many more EPs, with releases on labels like Tip Tap Records, Tzinah Records, and Archipel, which will also release his album Esoterica in 2017.

Casanova honed his skills performing at smaller venues and after-parties in New York before moving on to larger events like Montreal's Piknic Electronic and Berlin's Love Parade. He is now expanding his reach as a DJ, melding various styles to construct different moods and offering hypnotic, spacious, and warm soundscapes that create intrigue, but not dominating the space in the room.

Although he has always had a studio focus, he feels ready to bring his sound to clubs and is excited to share his music. His productions are warm and melodic, often with a strong bassline and dreamy elements that range from house and techno to more breakbeat cuts with fragmented vocals and pop elements. His sound is hard to place in a single genre, and he often delves into more experimental realms in his records.
Overall, Vincent Casanova is a talented and versatile artist whose productions and performances never fail to captivate and impress.

In the opening of the live act, a solid groove comes in with complex tones and tasty drums. Aquatic organic textures followed by grand piano and strings parts create a contrast between acoustic instruments and the acousmatic production.
The mood shifts to a dreamy pad with trippy vocals, accented with sharp hi-hats, and switch again to minimalistic passages. These abstract moments display a clever drum programming, wet yet subtle FX use and tonal textures.
The artist juggles with psychedelic chord progressions, rich details and glitches in a seamless storytelling. The listener is trapped in a special bubble of sound with out of this world atmosphere.
Kai takes is drum patterns to another level with congas and bongos solos, to go back to serene and deep vibrations. We encounter old school timeless chords, dubby elements, and a super efficient sub bass all along the performance.
This set is a demonstration of movement in music, A-game sound design and unfolding narrative, which will leave the listener stunned on a final abstract note.
