Everything is simple! You can eat everything, but in moderation. Here are 4 simple tips on how to keep fit:

➰ Breakfast should be hearty, as then you will train, and you will need energy
➰ Carbohydrates is a power source! Do not be afraid to include cereals, fruits and vegetables in your diet
➰Soup is a separate dish. Do not combine it with a salad or a second meal
➰ Drink a lot (at least 2 liters of water), but do not drink food with water. Wait for an hour after eating

What is ballet: an art or a sport?

Beauty and grace, strength and exorbitant physical activity are about ballet. Can it be considered as a sport (like figure skating, for example?). Or is it just art?

The critic Lindsay Winship of the ballet edition «Evening Standard» thinks that ballet is more than sport:

«Usain Bolt crosses the finish line first, his victory is beyond doubt. But can you announce the winner after watching how six dancers take turns playing the part of Giselle? It is unlikely, because six different performances will be, which everyone perceives differently. In sport you must stick to the rules, in ballet you are allowed to break them. ”

Ex ballet ballerina Letty Murphy has another opinion:

«The level of physical activity and the necessary skills in ballet is no different from those ones required in sports. The ballet has the same competitive spirit that you can see on the football field. Do the splits, then jump up a half meters, do triple pirouette. raise your foot to ear level, then lift the other person above your head and stand on the toes! Do you really think ballet is not a sport?

Красота и грациозность, сила и непомерные физические нагрузки — все это про балет. Можно ли его в таком случае считать видом спорта (как фигурное катание, например?) Или это лишь искусство?

Балетный критик издания «Evening Standard» Линдси Уиншип придерживается мнения, что балет больше, чем спорт:

«Усейн Болт первым пересекает финишную черту, его победа не вызывает сомнений. Но сможете ли вы с той же уверенностью назвать имя победителя, посмотрев, как шесть балерин по очереди исполняют партию Жизели? Едва ли, ведь это будут шесть разных выступлений, которые к тому же каждый воспринимает по-разному. В спорте ты должен придерживаться установленных правил, в балете разрешено нарушать их.»

Бывшая балерина Летти Мерфи считает иначе:

«Уровень физических нагрузок и необходимых навыков в балете ничем не отличается от тех, что требуются в спорте. В балете присутствует тот же соревновательный дух, какой вы можете увидеть на футбольном поле. Сядьте на шпагат, затем подпрыгните вверх на полтора метра, сделайте тройной пируэт. поднимите ногу на уровень уха, затем поднимите другого человека над вашей головой и встаньте на мыски! BALLET TUTU: what is it and when did it appear?
Many people think that this is a multi-layered skirt of hard tulle. However, it is not. A tutu is called a female ballet costume, consisting of a corsage, stuck on the hooks behind, and a short skirt sewn to it.

The appearance of a snow-white tutu (below the knee) is associated with the name of the ballerina Maria Taglioni, who played in the ballet La Sylphide in 1832 At the end of the 19th century, the tutu became much shorter, and at the beginning of the 20th century, when the low waistline came into fashion, the skirt came down the hips. So the tutu has obtained a familiar look.

БАЛЕТНАЯ ПАЧКА: что это и когда появилась?
Многие думают, что балетная пачка — это многослойная юбка из жесткого тюля. Однако, это не так. Пачкой называют цельный женский балетный костюм, состоящий из корсажа, застегивающегося сзади на крючки, и пришитой к нему короткой юбки. Появление белоснежной пачки (пока что ниже колена) связывается с именем балерины Марии Тальони, которая играла фею в балете «Сильфида» в 1832 году.
В конце 19 века пачка стала намного короче, а в начале 20, когда в моду вошла заниженная талия, юбка опустилась до бедер. Так пачка приобрела всем знакомый вид.

Natalia was born in Novosibirsk, Russia. She graduated from the Novosibirsk College of Choreography in 2006 (class of G.N. Lapitskaya, A.N. Shelemova) with honors. Since 2007 to present, she is soloist of the L. Jacobson St. Petersburg State Academic Ballet Theatre. She entered the directing department of the St. Petersburg State Conservatory in 2009, specialty «Ballet critic» (O.I. Rozanova).

Является основательницей и художественным руководителем Санкт- Петербургского Дома танца «Каннон Данс» (осн.1997 г.)

После окончания Санкт-Петербургского института физической культуры им. П. Ф. Лесгафта, изучала современный танец в рамках программ повышения квалификации в Австрии (Центр Норы Макх, Клагенфурт), Великобритании (Common Pulse Festival, London, UK), США (Henneping Center, Minneapolis, MN), Финляндии (UrbanJazzFestival), в рамках фестивалей ADF в Москве и Екатеринбурге.

В 2001 году была приглашена на стажировку в компанию Dancing People (Миннеаполис, США). В 2002 участвовала в совместном эстонско-американском проекте хореографа Yoshika Chuma (США) в Таллинне. В 2003 году изучала основы создания кинотанца на фестивале Jacobs Pillow Dance Festival (США).

Наталья Каспарова регулярно преподает и проводит мастер-классы на танцевальных фестивалях в России (Ярославль, Липецк, Красноярск, Новосибирск, Череповец, Киров, Екатеринбург, Витебск и др.) и за рубежом (США, Германия, Эстония, Швеция, Латвия, Финляндия).

Natalia Kasparova — Modern

Natalia Kasparova has graduated from Lesgaft National State University of Physical Education, Sport and Health. She learned modern dance during the continuing education program in Austria (Nora Mack center, Klagenfurt), Great Britain (Common Pulse Festival, London, UK), the USA (Henneping Center, Minneapolis, MN), Finland (UrbanJazzFestival), and also during the ADF Festival in Moscow and Yekaterinburg. Natalia is a founder and artistic director of Saint Petersburg dance house «Kannon dance» (est. 1997)

Nowadays Natalia Kasparova is an outstanding pedagogue and one of the greatest contemporary dance choreographers in Russia. Her extraordinary pedagogical talent has been highly recognized in George Washington University (Washington, DC), WTA&M University (Texas, USA), DansHogSkolan (Stockholm, Sweden), Centre de dans Rick Odums (Paris, France), where Natalia worked as visiting teacher and has directed a number of stagings for students.

In 2001 and 2005 she has been invited to the famous Summer Art University (Fresno, California, USA) to lead a master classes.

As a choreographer she also collaborated with such dance companies as Lone Star Ballet (Texas, USA) (2006), «Dance in corpore 2.0» (2013, France), DeStilte Company (2014, Breda, Netherlands).

The American Dance Magazine in 2004 has published a special article about Natalia Kasparova’s career and highly recognized her as a talented choreographer, pedagogue and innovator.

2004-2008 Senior Lecturer of the Department of modern choreography and dancing theraphy in Lesgaft National State University of Physical Education, Sports and Health.

2010-2015 an invited lecturer of Saint Petersburg State University of Art and Culture.

2015 till present day collaborates with Boris Eifman dance academy as a curator of the program of modern dance.

One of the main points is a visit to Palace of Peter I. Peterhof conveys the history of Russia, reveals the soul of our city and is one of the favorite places for our guests. Therefore, we will tell you more about it

Peterhof is a city founded in 1710 as an imperial suburban residence. Legend tells that Peter I personally chose this place.
The Peterhof ensemble includes the Grand Peterhof Palace with the Grand Cascade, the Upper Garden and the Lower Park.

The existing look of the Peterhof Palace has been formed over almost a century and a half. By the way, it was during the time of Empress Elizabeth Petrovna that the palace was rebuilt as Versailles
The Grand Peterhof Palace is one of the largest monuments of the 18th century and is protected by UNESCO.

Irina Sheleshneva — Acting

Since 2017 — periodically replaced Professor Stepin A.A. on acting classes at The Vaganova Ballet Academy in 6 / I, 7 / II and 8 / III forms. She worked with students on gestures, facial expressions, plasticity, expressiveness, etudes and repertoire.

Irina has experience in working with classical heritage, the repertoire of Leonid Jacobson and modern choreographers.

2018 — prepared several performances of Radu Poklitar with the 8th / 3rd year students.

August 2018 — participated as a teacher of acting skills in the preparation of programs with athletes of A. Mishin: 2015 world champion. Tuktamysheva E., European Champion 2019. Samodurova S., as well as Lazukin A., Gulyakova A. and others. The work on facial expressions, gestures, plasticity, expressiveness of the image.
