В 2021 году Центральный выставочный зал «Манеж» был признан «Музеем года» по версии The Art Newspaper Russia

Manege is a modern, world-class exhibition hall that showcases contemporary art in cooperation with leading art institutions and curators from Russia and all over the world. Our programmes include large-scale exhibition projects and events in tandem with them: lectures, meetings with artists, film screenings, performances, and concerts. Petersburg, on territory that has been included in UNESCO’s list of World Heritage Sites. The building that houses the exhibition hall is a masterpiece of Classical architecture from the early 19th century, designed by Giacomo Quarenghi and built in 1807. In 2021, Manege Central Exhibition Hall was deemed “Museum of the Year” by The Art Newspaper Russia “for its ability to make spectacular exhibition ‘hits’ that attract the public with bold concepts and modern exhibition design”.

ИСТОРИЯ

После реставрации и технического переоснащения в 2013-2016 гг. Манеж стал востребованной площадкой для проведения выставок мирового уровня и одной из основных точек притяжения на креативной карте города.

Выставочный зал расположен в самом центре Петербурга в историческом здании полкового манежа императорской Конной гвардии (архитектор Джакомо Кваренги, 1807).

After a major refurbishment in 2013-2016, which included the installation of state-of-the-art exhibition facilities and the updating of its cultural programme, Manege is now one of Russia's most in-demand venues for displaying world-class art. New curatorial projects showcase Russian and international art; an educational programme is aimed at both adults and children; the space serves as a forum for socializing and professional exchange in the cultural realm. All this, taken together with Manege's unique location in the very heart of the city, has made Manege a key point of attraction on the city’s creative map. The exhibition hall occupies the building of the historical riding hall - or the manege - of the Horse Guards regiment (architect – Giacomo Quarenghi, 1807).
