Battle of the Nordics is a wrap, and what a race we had! The weather was perfect, the track was really fun and had a flowy feeling but with some challenging parts especially the big jump in the middle. The surrounding area was packed with spectators as the racing was heating up with semi finals and finals and the race director was commenting the race in a very engaging way so the audience could follow the racing. The children (and the adults) were cheering on and loved the close fights and the crashes on the big jump.

We will post results separately as well as more videos in separate posts. So make sure to keep your eyes on this page...

Half day of paractice and we have only heard good things about the track. The big jump is spectacular for the audience and once you’ve “learnt” is it’s pretty simple to land.
It started a little bit wet after morning rain but dried up pretty quickly and the best lap times are in the low 34s. Tomorrow it’s supposed to be in the 20’s so looking forward to a great day of racing with the best drivers in the Nordics!

We can now officially announce that Battle of the Nordics is on for 2022, the dates are set to June 10-12!
After first being planned for 2020 and postponed for 2 years due to covid we're now happy to finally being able to invite all Large Scale racers in the Nordics as well as the rest of Europe as well.
A lot of things have changed during these two years, some have left the hobby and some have joined. But we hope everyone is now more eager than every to come out and race each other, meet up and having fun, after these two really challenging years.
Go in and register on House of RC, sign up for one or two classes and join what will be one of the most fun Large Scale events in Europe this year!

Hope to see you in June in Sweden!

POSTPONED!!!
We were hoping that Covid would be under better control at this stage but unfortunately it’s not. Alingsås will not host its yearly festival in June as planned. It’s still cumbersome to travel freely even between the nordic countries. Therefore we don’t have any other option than to postpone the Battle of the Nordics for a whole year. We have great plans for this event and we really want to attract as many drivers from the different countries as possible. Due to the current situation we won’t be able to organise the event we want to host and it requires some major planning. All registrations will carry over to the next year, but if you want your registration fee back we understand and will accommodate you. But we really hope you all want to participate and race next year early June 2022 in Battle of the Nordics!

Battle of the Nordics postponed to 2021! 😔🏁

We have come to the day where we can no longer proceed with Battle of the Nordics in 2020. This is a great disappointment as we have planned and been looking forward to this event for over a year. But as Covid-19 is still not completely under control and we’re not even free to travel […]

Due to the COVID-19 virus we have postponed the event and moved it to new dates in the late summer. The festival in the city of Alingsås which runs the same weekend has moved their dates to August 28-30 and we wanted to keep our engagement with the festival so we decided to run the event at the same dates. New deadline for registering for the race is Sunday July 26. Everything else will stay the same maybe with some small changes regarding some partners but otherwise the practicalities and the schedule will be the same. I hope everybody is looking forward to some racing this season as many events and competitions have been cancelled both on national and international (EFRA) level.

The race is on! 🏁🏁🏁

In these times many races are cancelled and many wonder what will happen with Battle of the Nordics. As it stands right now we're planning to race it as planned. The event is outside, we might limit the number of people on the driver stand to allow for some distance. We follow the developments daily and what the Swedish authorities recommends and any regulations. The potato festival that is at the same time might be cancelled but we can run this anyway since we have our permits regardless of the state of the whole festival.
The deadline for registration is May 10, so there is still time to sign up. Things can change quickly and we might have to act accordingly but right now we look forward to meet you all and race in June!

After Peltola Saul registered in 2wd we now have full nordic representation in both 4wd and 2wd. We have reached "halfway" (30 out of 60 possible drivers) and we have a little bit less than 2 months before registration deadline. Do we have any more Swedish drivers maybe?

Here is the official list of registered drivers for the different classes. If you have paid and is not on the list you have probably not answered the registration email, check your spam folder. If there is any other problem please contact us at [email protected]. If you haven’t registered...

A small but important milestone has been reached. We now have our first driver from Finland, Esa Myllymaa. This means this is truly a Nordic race as it was intended to be (Iceland and other countries are also welcome of course). Lets see how many drivers from Finland we can get now when Esa has shown the way! ;)

We immediately got a Danish effect after last weekend's race. The Dans have now passed the Norwegians in number of drivers (6 vs 5), and the Finns are still last with NO (0) drivers! Who will be the first driver to sign up from outside the Nordic countries? Even if the event is called Battle of the Nordics, all nationalities are welcome!

This past weekend we had a first taste of what a nordic battle could look like when Smk helsingborg LSOR organised an event with racers from Denmark, Norway and Sweden. It was a great event and everybody really enjoyed meeting other LS fanatics from our neighbouring countries and race each other on the track. We congratulate Tom Sørensen and Ole Andersen who won 4wd and 2wd.

Next chance of having this much fun and get a rematch is in Alingsås 12-14 June at Battle of the Nordics. Don't miss out and register at the link below!

We have now published the list of registered drivers for this summer’s upcoming Battle of the Nordics event. Many have asked about this, both to verify their own registration but also to see how many are registered in each class and just for curiosity. If you don’t want your name to be displayed, please contact us and we will blank it.
We will keep this page updated as new registrations come in, so bookmark it!

We have now posted a preliminary schedule for the event to help you to plan your trips and get a better feeling of the planning of the event. This will for sure change and is based on current estimations but it will be able to scale to 60 drivers, but if we're less we might have more time in the schedule. But we will be done at 14:00 sharp on Sunday!

We have also received the delicious menu from Mugwort that will have a food truck on site.

Read more about the menu and see the schedule on the link below.

We have now created a preliminary schedule for all three days so that you can see how we have planned to run this event. As this is based on estimation on the number of registrations it can and wil…

Here is the latest update on registrations. 2wd has now passed the limit of 5 drivers so that will definitely happen and we will do Outlaw as well. Shourt Course might have to join 4wd if not more people sign up in that class.

Here are some stats for the current registrations, we have some that haven't filled out all info yet so we're a little bit more than 20 drivers registered for the event right now.

We have now published a new page for the people coming to Alingsås for the first time. Where to stay (make sure to book camping or hotel pretty soon or stay at the track if you bring an RV), where to eat and what to do when you're not racing. Maybe you're bringing your family or stay some extra day. Since this event is the same weekend as the yearly potato festival and it celebrates 40 years this year it will sure be a lot of activities and things to do very close to the track and in the city.

21/01/2020

We've had great response since we opened the registration two days ago. We already have 17 people registered from Sweden, Norway and Denmark (where are the Finns?). But the registration process was a little bit unclear. We have changed it a little bit to make it easier and also clarify the process. Follow the link below and go to the registration section. Hopefully it's all clear now on how to register.

There has also been questions around why we have a limitation on the number of drivers. This is to allow for as much track time as possible for everybody but still have a relaxed time schedule, we want this to be fun and enjoyable. If we see that we can fit in more drivers without compromising on the quality of the event we will do that.

Lastly we forgot to mention there is FREE camping at the track if you bring an RV, caravan or trailer. We ask for this information in the registration form.

Can we get to 30 people registered and some Finns this week?

The official registration is now open! We've been quite for some time but we haven't been resting. A lot of planning has been going on in the background and where now ready to share some more info regarding the most epic Large Scale event this year in the Nordics. We have put together very relaxed rules and regulation to focus on bringing as many as possible together to have fun. We have also drafted a track layout but most importantly we have opened the official registration. So head over to the site to check out the track, the layout of the field and then register. And don't wait too long because deadline is May 10 and we will have a limit of maximum 60 drivers and given the interest from the pre registrations this can very well fill up quickly. We will share more info about race format, where to stay and other activities around at a later date.
We almost forgot to mention that we will be handing out nine trophies to all podium winners and have a raffle for all registered driver for RC and engine parts.

Check out the news and then go and register!

15/10/2019

We now have 90 followers and 40 pre registrations. We would really like to get up to 50 pre registrations or even more. Our goal is to have at least 40 drivers in total at the event, that would feel awesome and we think we can make it. Talk to your friends if they haven't pre registered yet. This will be one event you don't want to miss!
We're in planning mode thinking about how to create a good race schedule so that everybody has maximum amount of fun and works with traveling. We wan't to be as flexible as possible maybe thinking of two separate races and a total score, just so that you can choose how many days you want to attend without missing out. We also want to provide free practice and bashing for the people who just want to have a relaxed time. Not easy to make everybody happy, but we're trying our best.
We're also looking for sponsors both for practical things for the event but also stores or manufacturers that can sponsor with prices. Let us know if you would like to sponsor this event. We will make sure you're brand is promoted in the best way!
Finally take a look at the site as it has been updated with more photos and videos from past events, a sponsor page and some info about the different classes.

We love big RC cars!

Why do we host the first ever nordic Large Scale RC Off-Road event? Because we love big radio controlled cars! We want to grow our hobby, we want to meet new people and we want to compare our rigs, share ideas, have fun and race together. And maybe this is the first step to something bigger one day?

The focus is on having fun and meet likeminded people. We can do this by just hanging out and talking in the pit, or we can have fun bashing on the track or we can bring it on and race each other on the track. We want everybody to be able to enjoy this event!

We have access to a huge grass field where we have been the last 5 years to race and bash. We’re going to lay down a fun track, have a great pit area, provide space for campers as well as tent for catering and hang out. We’re also looking at having some fun activities on the side of the track.
