Highlights from our Grand Opening and Inspiration Show on Monday with style experts and :

Sara and Frida identified red as a dominant color for SS25. They also observed a significant presence of stripes, leopard print, and denim. For footwear, they highlighted pointy Mary Jane shoes, cowboy mules, and the classic Wallabee and Torhill Lo G boots from Clarks Originals.

All of the styles came from brands in Stockholm Showroom and Stockholm Shoe House – make sure to pay them a visit during the remaining days of Fashion Week Trade.

Meet Store of the Month: Stil och Design i Åstorp

In Åstorp, there’s a store that stands out for its wide selection and unique combination of fashion and personal service. Jessica Rosvall, a hairdresser for 35 years, decided to start a combined hair salon and fashion store seven years ago. She seized the opportunity when a perfect location became available, and the store quickly became known for its “terrace tips.”

With 700+ brands on an area of 20 000m2, the exhibition space has expanded significantly this season – we are therefore happy to announce that we’ve made it easier for you to find your way around Fashion Week Trade!

Each of our 4 exhibition houses have been colour coded both physically, using triangles on the ground and signs, and digitally (through our new wayfinding system, soon to be announced 🤫)

A huge thank you to all of you who visited us during Nordic Fabric Fair! What a wonderful couple of days it was, with new fabric and technology discoveries, design and colour inspiration from .se and lots of important networking and knowledge-sharing among colleagues in the industry. We are happy and proud to have this meeting place for the textile industry in the Nordics, which is expanding continuously. This season we were also joined by new and interesting textiles companies brought from Peak 63 and the Taiwan Textile Federation, focusing on sustainable and functional fabrics.

Meet Store of the Month: Metro Konfektion

In the heart of Kristinehamn, we find the fashion store Metro Konfektion with its 1200 square meters of retail space. The owners are Roger and Lotta Isberg, who like to visit Stockholm Fashion District several times a year to bring home inspiring fashion to Värmland. We have been given the opportunity to hear about their store and what makes Metro a favorite place for all fashion enthusiasts.

On their way to a soccer match almost 40 years ago, Helen and Helen came up with the idea of starting a clothing store, they hit the ground running and not long after they opened Butiq HH. The store, which fills a full 500 square meters, is located a little outside Umeå in the community of Hörnefors. We have had a chat with friends Helen and Helen to hear more about how they treat the customer and how they think about purchases in order to have a well-sorted assortment.

Last week, an important report was introduced during Fashion X, in which Stockholm Fashion District and Trade Partners Sweden is a partner. The Fashion Transformation Report 2023 examines the transformation of the fashion industry driven by market challenges, the urgency of the climate crisis, consumer shifts, and legislative initiatives. The fashion industry is changing, but the way we measure and talk about it is outdated. To drive the necessary change within the industry, we need reliable data and actionable insights to future-proof our businesses in a responsible way. This report plays an important role in achieving that.

Meet Store of the Month: BJsMode

“We are like a small department store” – says Bettan, the owner of the Store of the Month BJs Mode, which we find on 340 square meters in central Linköping. In the small department store there are clothes for both parties and everyday life, perfume, skin care and a small men’s department. Meet Store of the Month: Liza Design

It’s always inspiring to hear about stores that have been run by the same family for generations, and that’s exactly what this month’s featured store has achieved. We have met Hanna Wallentin who is the fourth generation to run the shop of the month, Liza Design. The company, founded in 1974, was a manufacturer of various leather goods from the beginning. The store opened in 1986 in a basement and has grown to 500 square meters. Today, they sell bags, accessories, and shoes. Read the interview with Hanna below.
