I baked and braided this bread into the wee hours of the night and made my own Apricot jam the same way my grandmother would make it. This with a cup of ”shay b’ laban” hits the spot! Hope your week is good so far!

I know this is not Egyptian but it could be 😂 this is the results of me experimenting in the kitchen. I made, Red Lentil Taa’meyya stuffed with Mozzarella with a side of Strawberry and Tomato Chutney. It was DELICIOUS!! Or should I say, Dinalicious?? Hope you are all doing well 🙏🏼☺️

Dear friends,
How is everyone? Hope everyone is having a decent start to their summer so far. After having a death in the family and a one month culinary research trip to Egypt, I am back in Stockholm and ready to take all your lovely orders. Thank you for all your understanding and I am still so so grateful for all the orders of the past two months despite me unable to fulfill them 🙏🏼 it only cements my belief in my dreams and that taking the step towards catering was a great and correct step for me! Looking forward to hearing from you and have a lovely, lovely weekend! ♥️🌸

Dear Friends,
Thank you for your patience and understanding for the previous time period and my inability to take orders. I am now able to take orders again.

My dear friends,
Due to an urgent life situation, I will not be able to take orders for some time. I will inform everyone once I am back to taking orders. Thank you for your understanding and patience 🙏🏼

First of all, Ramadan Kareem 🌙🌙🌙🌙 to everyone who observes! I have been meaning to post something everyday but as you all know that the time before Ramadan and the first week of Ramadan is INSANE!!! But I am riding the wave 🌊 I have (understandbly so) been asked if I am taking orders during Ramadan and the answer is YES! I am taking orders ALL the time. However, (and I have said this before) I dont take orders that are less than 1000 SEK. Furthermore, if there is something that you would like to eat that I dont have on the Menu or if there is something you are particularly craving during Ramadan and you just dont have strength or time to make it- What would that be?? I can add it to the Menu! Just let me know. So far, the popular orders are Mahshi (of aaaallll kinds as you can see below 👇🏽) Mumbar, Koshari, Kebda Iskandarani, molokheya, fteer, and bamya. Thanks for all the orders and love cooking for you especially during all Holy-days. Please take care of yourselves, may God accept your fasting and prayers, and see you around the Iftar table!

Hey Folks!
How are we all doing on this fine blue skied morning? 😁 In this picture we have oven roasted chicken with potatoes (a la my dad’s recipe) and an order of Musaqaa with Bechamél! I am constantly thinking of ways to update my Menu in a way that is appetizing and different But still sticking to the Egyptian. Not as easy as one would think (especially if you are an international foodie like me). But the show must go on and regardless I love cooking for you! Hope all is well with everyone and hope you get to eat something delicious today!

When people hear the word Liver they often time cringe and explain that its difficult for them to enjoy the taste. For me, Alexandrian Liver is a chance to max on iron/protein and to both prepare it and eat it with yummy spices, herbs, veggies and fresh oven baked bread. I also L🤩VE it spicy (but that’s just me) and it makes me happy to say, that this too is one of my popular orders. Haha! I can tell which foods the Egyptian community in Stockholm is missing 😁 Happy Monday! 🙌🏼🙌🏼

Koshari: the quintessential egyptian dish (picture taken at Abu Tarek - a real famous Koshari provider in Egypt, for those of you who have never been to Cairo, I highly recommend it) A favorite of many and is prepared in all house holds whether rich or poor. Ingredients are suuuuper simple but in my opinion requires skill to make in order to get the flavors juuuuust right! Also, one of my most popular orders. Hope your week has been great this far and that good things are coming your way! ☀️

One of my favorite dishes that my grandmother used to make was Roz Muammar. Rice that is roasted and cooked in Chicken broth/clotted cream/ and butter in a clay pot in the oven. TO DIE FOR. I however did a little twist and added parmesan cheese to the rice and then covered it with a layer of sauteed Mushrooms and Onions with Black Truffle Oil. My grandmother is probably rolling in her grave 😆 but it is also oh so very good. A european twist on an Egyptian classic! I mean, us Egyptians have been cosmopolitan for thousands of years, why stop now? 😉 hope you have all had a fabulous weekend!

Ask me which dish I could eat every day and forever and ever and my answer would be a resounding: MOLOKHEYA (I was drooling when taking this picture…) Molokheya is a dish that originates in Egypt (its Pharaonic) and has spread to the Levant and parts of North Africa, but is prepared a bit differently. Molokheya when chopped may remind some of Spinach but its a bit smoother and has a different texture. The English name is Mallow Leaves. Also, one of my most popular orders. Its a dish with history, flavor, and sooo good for your health. You simply can’t go wrong. In this picture, Molokheya is eaten with Rice/Fried Chicken/ and a soup made from left over Chicken broth also used to make the Molokheya. It can be prepared with Vegetable Stock, Beef, Lamb, Duck, and in the northern provinces of Egypt it is actually prepared with Shrimp Broth. Gorgeous. If you have never tried Molokheya, I warmly and whole heartedly recommend it. Have a lovely, lovely weekend! 🙏🏼

Yesterday I had the chance to make my own recipe at a ! Always to see people’s reactions when they try something . I am still tweaking this and trying to come closer to a taste and texture that screams DINA! Its already really but I am going for out of this world and how to best fit in my memories of both and in a , after all - isn’t food all about ?

Hello Friends!
Even if I do not post as often as before - I am still catering and cooking for all who order. I cook and prepare weekly menus for families where both parents are working and might not have as much time to cook, I cook for larger groups of people (5 - 20), for birthdays, for offices etc. What I DO NOT do anymore is cook for small orders. I am really sorry 😬 I do not take orders that are less than 1000 SEK. That said, I hope you are all having a lovely week despite grey clouds and snow storms, a good excuse to cuddle under a blanket, light some candles, and drink hot beverages! Take care everyone

Dearest Friends!

I have been sick (on and off) for the past two weeks with a bad cold. I am sorry for not having been able to take ALL orders that I had received (only a few). But I am now well again and ready to cook up a storm and am now ready to take all orders coming my way (as long as they are placed three days before hand) - I hope you are all healthy and well and dont forget to wash your hands and dress properly. Lots of people are getting sick! Stay blessed 😇

I remember a Chicken recipe that my father used to make - it was (still is) a big favorite of mine. When the Chicken was in the oven, its scent would FILL the house. My father would make it when the weather was a bit colder. He would use earthy and warm spices such as Ground Paprika/Nutmeg/Chili…i had the chance to make it for an order this week. My kitchen smelled the same way it did when Pappa would make the Chicken and it brought back so many memories. How beautiful his hands were when he cooked, how focused he would be when in the kitchen, and how he always cooked for us with great love: the most important spice. May you enjoy the company of your loved ones and may you enjoy your meals this week! 🌸🙏🏼

For the first time since I started my catering, I was asked to cook for a Birthday party of 20 ppl. It was SO much fun and got to make a vegetarian feast of Egyptian Street Food. Most of the people at the party were not of Egyptian origin which also gave me a chance to share my culinary heritage of which I am enormously proud. I have loved cooking and dont think I will ever stop loving it! Thank you for making this possible for me 🙏🏼🌸

Good Afternoon Everyone! Hope all of you are doing more than well! 🍁🍁🍁 thinking of adding some Swedish meals to my menu (since some of my customers have ordered it from me) one of them is Meat Patties with an Onion gravy- real tasty! Will think on this one. Till then, eat, drink, and be merry! 🙌🏼

I dont know if its Autumn - but for some reason almost all my orders have been a form of mahshi. Whether its Mahshi Kromb/Waraq Enab/or meshakel. People also like to order the Kebda and lately Koftet Roz (which is perfect for this season). I love waking up and using the early morning hours to be creative. I am so grateful to have a creative space where I can practice my art and at the same time serve people! Thank you for making this a possibility! 🍁🍁🍁

I have a customer who orders food for the week every Tuesday. My customer is half Egyptian and loves Egyptian food but also Asian (I LOVE Asian cooking and eating 😁). One of the dishes for this Tuesday was a Chicken Curry. It was cold/rainy/and gloomy outside and the day just called for something hearty/spicy/ and soul filling. With all the colors and different textures - this dish was Autumn on a plate. Should I add this to the Menu? 🤔

Though I LOVE to primarily cook Egyptian food (which is the emphasis of my catering) I am still happy to receive orders where I am asked to cook other things. For this Salmon order, I made Salmon chops in a reduced Honey Sesame glaze (I love all things Sesame). My Sesame Honey Salmon is now available to order! Have a lovely day dear friends 🌸

It seems like we are heading into an early Autumn and one of my favorite dishes to make is Chicken Fatta which I had the pleasure to make several times though it has not been on the menu! But guess what? Its on the menu 😄 its 500 SEK and the amount is enough to feed 4 to 5 ppl! It has the colors, flavors, and textures of any good Autumn dish! Hope everyone is having a good Monday! 🍁🍂

04/09/2022

Alright, so despite this being my Egyptian Kitchen - I have still gotten three orders of a favorite Korean dish that I often make: Japchae. Its beef marinated in Sesame oil/Soy Sauce/Garlic/Sugar - mixed vegetables and Potato Starch noodles. It does not get more complicated than that. It is sooooo good! On the menu from today, 500 SEK and feeds 5 people! Hope everyone is doing more than well 🌸
