Practice 20 - Spending wisely and consciously
Every purchase we make is more than a transaction—it’s a statement. What we choose to spend on fuels industries, supports communities, and shapes the world we live in. Did you know that individual spending drives around 60% of the global economy? Imagine the power we hold when we choose consciously 🌍
What’s one small way you’ll choose to spend more intentionally this week? Let us know in the comments belows!

Practice 19 - Communication, vibe & transparency at work
Workplace culture plays a significant role in our daily lives—and today’s practice reminds us that work can be about more than just deadlines and tasks. As The Devil Wears Prada portrays, fashion workplaces often seem riddled with toxicity—poor communication, lack of transparency, and mean-spirited interactions can feel all too normal. But just as we advocate for sustainability in fashion, we should champion sustainability in how we work and connect, how we treat communicate with, and support one another at work.
A slower, more intentional approach to work prioritises collaboration, kindness, and clarity. It creates spaces where people feel heard, respected, and valued—a workplace that’s not just productive but meaningful. It’s about time we leave outdated habits behind and build work environments that align with values of care, sustainability, and progress.

Time has a way of healing, restoring, and strengthening—whether it’s nature, relationships, or ourselves. Just like forests regenerate after a season of stillness or even by being left alone for some time, taking time allows things to grow back stronger and better.
In a world that celebrates speed, let’s remember today’s daily practice, letting things take time: slow isn’t stagnant—it’s transformative. Let nature remind us that patience often brings the most beautiful results.

Practice 16 - A reminder to learn more about our everyday things, where do they come from, how are they made, who made them and how can i mend it if it breaks? Every piece comes from somewhere and will eventually end up somewhere. Educating ourselves, not only on where things come from but also how to care for things, how to mend things, how to reuse things will help us value what we have.
Here are some tips on how we can learn more about our everyday things and habits:
- Start by understanding our potential climate impact
- Watch documentaries or read books about various industries affect on the climate (such as fashion, agriculture, meat and dairy, plastic, etc.), for example *The True Cost* (which explores the fashion industry’s environmental and social impacts) *or Seaspiracy* (highlights the environmental impact of the fishing industry)
- Read books about human psychology and history to help understand how we function from a societal and individual perspective, or about holistic and sustainable business models and design concepts.
- Listen to podcasts or radio shows about the climate, consumption habits, policies regarding sustainability or about a specific industry and it climate and social impact. This can be done by searching “podcast fashion climate impact” or “podcast food industry social impact”
- Learn more about our favorite brands, wether it is food, phones, cars or coffee, it can be interesting to know for example where our food or clothes are produced, what they are made out of (on clothing, this can easily be found on the tag inside your piece), regarding food and other products sometimes searching can help or understanding the contents.
- **Educating ourselves about repurposing and repairing can help us** learn mending techniques for clothing or repair skills for electronics. Also learning about our food can help us understand what is locally and seasonal grown.
- Take pare or follow initiatives striving to educate and support

Today’s practice no. 14
♻️ Recycle or donate items thoughtfully reminds us to try and discard our waste in a thoughtful manner. A first alternative is to try and give things away or donating to your local second hand store or department store, this can usually be done for clothing and electronics. In Europe it is regulated by law for bigger companies and retail chains to provide recycling options for costumers. In other parts of the world it varies greatly, however being aware of that our waste doesn’t vanish, can help us stay engaged in how to minimise our waste and how to eventually discard it thoughtfully. Even if it can feel hopeless sometimes, certain things matter if they are being recycled, such as electronics, chemicals, metals and glass. Maybe some things can even be kept and given a new meaning at a later time?

Practice 13 - More materials to think about
Fashion isn’t just about fabric—it’s about the details that hold it all together. The buttons, zippers, and trims might seem small, but very important for the funcitionality in our clothing. This is also beyond fashion, think about all the small things in our world and how important they are.
Today’s practice reminds us to think about how small details in various materials are also important to think about! What materials do you feel are important to think about?

Practice 12 - simplifying our living environment
Did you know the things around us carry energy? Clutter doesn’t just take up physical space—it can also drain mental energy and make it harder to focus. Simplifying your environment by mindfully decluttering creates room for clarity, calm, and creativity.
Today’s practice is all about starting small: I began with my desk, and coule feel clear while journaling for the week.
What’s one area in your home or workspace that could use a little decluttering? Let us know in the comments!

Practice 9 - Let’s step away from those never-ending to-do lists and focus on what truly matters.
One step at a time, one priority at a time—because life isn’t about cramming it all into one day. Prioritize with intention, slow down, and make space for what really counts. A few meaningful tasks done with real focus go further than rushing through everything.

Practice 8 - Eating & consuming locally produced goods
Local isn’t just about what’s on your plate—but in your bag. Choosing locally produced goods, whether it’s food, crafts, or everyday essentials, supports our local communities, boosts local economies, and reduces our carbon footprint.
By prioritising local and seasonal made foods, however, we also say no to agricultural monocultures and yes to preserving biodiversity and cultural traditions 🌎 Every local choice contributes to a healthier planet and a more connected, vibrant world.
Next time you shop, think local: visit your farmer’s market, support small businesses, or try handmade products. Together, our choices make a difference.
