It’s been yet another bustling week with two of our Swedish-American couples visiting the city. We have some absolutely delightful Stockholm city wedding weekends ahead, featuring boat trips through the archipelago, private islands, lush gardens, and historic city venues. Honestly, we can hardly wait for spring and summer next year to soak in all this beauty!

In Sweden, December 13th marks Lucia Day, a celebration of light in the darkest time of the year. 🌟 Dressed in flowing white, with candles glowing bright, Lucia leads the procession, symbolizing hope, warmth, and a promise of brighter days to come.   Yesterday Kathleen and Jason had came all the way from Georgia, USA to Stockholm for their elopement. In the gorgeous English church at Djurgården they tied the knot in presence of only the Chaplain. As always gorgeous flowers from and the beautiful tones played by pianist served as a tribute to Kathleen’s grandmother, a renowned pianist. captured the intimate moment, and had, of course, worked her magic earlier in the day. As the evening unfolded, the couple made their way to the two-star Michelin restaurant for an exquisite celebratory menu 💞

Planning an early summer tent wedding in Sweden’s archipelago is nothing short of a gamble. June days can be magical, with golden sunlight glistening on calm waters, but they can just as easily bring bone-chilling winds, heavy rain, and temperatures that make you question summer’s existence. When you add in the complexity of a Stockholm Marathon closing city streets on the wedding day and a coach ride for all the guests to the church, the stakes rise even higher.
