KWAN TZI ZHAI VEGETARIAN CUISINE founded by Choo Hong Eng on 1st August 1986.
She was given away at birth and left at an orphanage.
When she was three, she was adopted by a devout Buddhist and grew up in kampung in Aljunied. At the age of 8, she started her entrepreneurship spirit having to work hard for her own living selling odds and ends.
When she was a teenager, she worked at wig factory. At age 16, she sold tickets at Gay World, and found a way to earn extra money In her 20s, she decide to open her own vegetarian stall in Geylang. She came up with her idea to make her food special. When she was 20 years old, she was a driver for Hong Kong celebrities likes Leslie Chueng, Lisa Wang and Tong Leung. It was a just one chapter of her colourful lifc.
In 2011, she won a jackpot of more than $400,000 at Marina Bay Sands. She gave all her money to charity.
Her vegetarian stalls have served several outlets in Singapore. A household name for quality vegan and vegetarian food, this stall now delivers your order to your home.
