Ikebana & Tea Chaxi Summer Workshop 小暑花道茶席
Here in the tropics, it may feel like we are constantly grappling with the discomfort of summer’s heat and humidity. Especially when the world is seeing extreme weather patterns and peculiar climate events, we are starkly reminded of the ever-greater need to be present, and to cherish our earth, our only home.
This July, we invite you to join us on a more intentional rhythm of being through an intimate celebration of 小暑 (Xiǎoshǔ, Shōsho) — the 11th solar term of the year — by immersing ourselves in time-honoured customs of floral arrangement coupled with the affairs of tea.
Through the famed classical Japanese art of Ikebana as well as a contemporary Chaxi tea experience, we will gently find our way through lines, space, colours, textures, smells, and above all, allow ourselves to be guided by aesthetic ideals that invite us to a deeper meaningful appreciation for all that surrounds us.
Every participant at this programme will receive professional guidance in creating your own Ikebana flower arrangement artwork. At the end of the session, there will be ample time for placing your floral arrangement at a space specially set up to showcase your work of art before you take it home with you.

Fee: SGD188 per person. Bring a friend at $168/person.
Fee includes vase/container, seasonal floral materials, and equipment.
You are encouraged to bring your own writing instruments.
