Almost a decade into my entrepreneurial journey and this year is all about improving the business and investing in myself.
Starting this journey with the Hag Capisco 8020 ergonomic chair designed by the very fancy Norwegian designer Peter Opsvik. As I flit between designing bouquets, conducting workshops, and managing the business side of things, this chair seamlessly adapts to my every move with various adjustable features.
Inspired by the horseback rider's saddle, it encourages correct posture. I love that the saddle design stops me from crossing my legs whenever I sit (you probably are guilty of this too!), keeps my feet flat on the floor and keeps my core engaged (hello abs). The result is better posture and reduced lower back pain.
My favourite position is leaning forward on the seat back which lets me stretch my back and rest my elbows while I reply to messages and emails on my phone or tablet.

There's a unique trait in all flower lovers - our ability to be awed by every "imperfection" in a flower or plant. Stems are never too crooked, heads never too droopy, and we still are wowed by the resilience of flowers growing through cracks on concrete.
After working with thousands of flowers, we still tell someone on the team how fragrant the same Ohara Garden Rose smells.
As another year ends, I'm again grateful to call this my career and meet a bunch of people who love flowers as much (or more) than I do.
In 2024, I wish the same for you. To be awed by how good nature is, to look out for small surprises in our everyday lives and never lose the awe in your eyes.
