Another successful event with SUTD Singapore University of Technology & Design! We had the privilege of not only managing the conference and networking session for the International Conference on Technology and Design (ICTD) 2024, but also organizing the launch of the Journal of Design and Artificial Intelligence.

A highlight of the event was the LED cube which captivated attendees when it seamlessly transitioned into a sleek animation video on the screen. The dynamic lights and sounds drew everyone’s attention and sparked curiosity.

In a gathering of nearly 520 attendees, SMU President Professor Lily Kong presented her sixth President’s State of the University Address on 20 September 2024 at SMU Hall. This year’s address broke from tradition, featuring an energetic performance by SMU Samba Masala and engaging videos that showcased the achievements of the SMU community.

In her address, President Kong outlined significant developments, strategic priorities, and innovative initiatives that have shaped SMU’s trajectory over the past five years. She emphasized the university’s commitment to excellence and adaptability in an ever-evolving educational landscape. With the upcoming Silver Jubilee in 2025, she also unveiled exciting plans for celebration activities, highlighting the history and accomplishments of SMU while looking forward to a future of continued growth and success.

This project is particularly close to our hearts. Installations like ‘The Sound of PortrAIts’ offered us a deep sense of fulfilment.

Contributing to the fabrication and installation of this exhibition allows us to help the public explore the daily experiences of dementia patients and their caregivers, as well as different facets of memory recollection. This series beautifully merges the art of oral storytelling with the creativity of Artificial Intelligence (AI). We are delighted and honoured to participate in such a meaningful exhibition.

That’s a wrap for SMU Career Day 2024! Organized by the Dato' Kho Hui Meng Career Centre at Singapore Management University, this annual event aims to support students in their internship and career pursuits. Attendees engaged in a variety of activities and had the chance to win exciting prizes. With plenty of snacks on hand and numerous coaches available for discussions, students were able to network and explore diverse career paths.

To wrap up August, we are thrilled to have supported the Business Families Institute -BFI at SMU at BFI Case Jam 2024! Our team managed the design, production, and AV services for this exciting two-day competition. Students from around the region came together to tackle real-world challenges faced by family-owned businesses. This year’s focus on growth strategy, entrepreneurship, and family sustainability made for an inspiring and impactful event.

During the same week, Singapore Management University’s VOICES@SMU engaged Infini8 for the design and fabrication of Voices Week 2024 roadshow, which focuses on online safety.

Over two days (28-29 August 2024), we showcased an interactive wall addressing common online scenarios on platforms like Telegram and Tinder, plus a social wall dedicated to spreading positive messages. In addition to VOICES@SMU booth space, we designed six unique booths for partner organizations, each offering engaging activities and insights about their missions. This event highlighted VOICES@SMU's ongoing commitment to supporting students impacted by harassment or violence, making it a significant step in enhancing digital awareness.

On 27 & 28 August 2024, SMU’s Centre for Social Responsibility (C4SR) hosted an incredible Community Service Fair! Students connected with Volunteer Centres and discovered a variety of ways to support beneficiaries and non-profit organizations. From local projects to global initiatives, there was something for everyone ready to make an impact. The fair also featured a captivating inequality simulation, providing students with insights into the experiences of the less privileged in Singapore.

Over the past two months, we have worked diligently together to design the exhibition layout, featuring larger-than-life N95 mask, swab stick, and other interactive elements.

From 19 to 20 June 2024, The Women’s Forum Singapore 2024 brought together influential women at SMU to discuss their impactful work, the significant challenges in their respective fields, and the most valuable advice they’ve received.

Prime Minister Lawrence Wong engaged in a dialogue with 900 students from Institutes of Higher Learning at Singapore Management University on 2 July 2024.

During his address, PM Wong highlighted Singapore's commitment to renewing the social contract and expanding career opportunities for young people. He encouraged young individuals to define success on their own terms and recognized the contributions of non-traditional careers to the nation's economy. PM Wong called for collective efforts to foster inclusivity in society.

As this event marked PM Wong’s first youth-specific engagement since taking office as Prime Minister, Infini8 Pte Ltd is honoured to have contributed to bringing this event to life.
