Our Founder- Chef S R Bala
Chef, Mr S. R Bala, had an innate passion for cooking since he was 8-9 years old; after school he used to visit his dad’s restaurant Empire Curry. He was highly inquisitive and always had a keen sense to know how the kitchen operations ran on a day to day. As he was growing up, he studied to become a teacher but midway gave up his teaching profession for his culinary passion.
He started off initially as a Hawker and set up restaurants along the way. He also commenced becoming a consulting Chef for many near eateries in helping them achieve their business goals. Looking back into his career progression, he has won numerous accolades and awards for his mouth watering dishes both in Singapore and globally.
