🌳🐅🐘Can you feel the love tonight? 🦒🦓🦧🌳 Asking for her hand is always nerve-wracking, even for the steadiest of guys and even for us as we wait for her arrival. Here is a throwback to our safari themed proposal with all the things that they hold close to their hearts. We know that no matter how well prepared the guys are, chances for their mind to go blank when she arrives is almost certain, this is why we put in extra thought in designing the set, it helps to calm both of them down with something familiar to them and off they go, lost in their little world. Now who says proposal is only a few secs act? 🙃😉 it is always an adventure 🪄🧚🏻

And longer if I can……”We are always touched by the effort guys put in for their proposal, although we help to set the ambience right, the proposal wouldn’t be complete without the guys’ devotion to express their appreciation and love in little ways. Be it learning to play a song, sing, dance, write a letter, give the best k-drama scene or generosity on the bling, it often starts off from their desire to give their lady the best.

You are the sunshine of my soul, the brightest star that glows. This proposal was made for a Jay Chou fan and it was really nostalgic as we searched for Jay Chou albums for the proposal. G was also very spontaneous to take photo in Jay Chou poses found in the album covers and we superimposed it to create her version of Jay!

"Minä Rakastan Sinua." The three magic words (ILY) in Finnish that are rarely heard because they value actions more than speech. What an honor to be part of Z & W Finland inspired theme proposal, we can't fly over to Finland given the current endemic situation but we sure can help to create a bespoke proposal setup that embodies the true meaning of ILY in the Finnish way.

Every little element used in the setup tells a story and Z took love and delight in letting us know every detail of it. We hope Z's love and appreciation were translated into the little world we have created for just both of them. Glad to see the big smiles and happiness, congratulations to Z & W.

Helpyoumarry (HYM) started back in 2011, and we will hit 10 years of storytelling in 2021. Thank you to all our clients for entrusting us with your big milestone in life and giving us freeplay in representing your journey in unique ways. We hope to continue to bring more tinkles and sparkles to all of you with our trusty vendor partners who never fails to bring out the magic of the proposal.

We will be taking a break in 2021 to welcome our little one, and I will try to fill this absence with more DIY proposal themes for inspiration. Have a good year ahead everyone!

Proposal: Air Alvin Theatre Play @ Arts House

Have you ever felt really excited going into a threatre play held at a well-known location? A travel-themed play complete with ‘air stewardess’ ushers, a giant model airplane, and your very own ‘boarding pass’ ticket? What about a marriage proposal that was disguised as one? That was exactly what Alvin did for Tiffany, onboard ‘Air Alvin’ at Play Den, The Arts House! The entire set-up was intricately designed to be as real as it gets. Think a website describing the play “Around the world in 80 barks”, ticketing booth, show brochures and tickets designed to look like boarding passes. The entire stage was also decorated with hanging paper aeroplanes, complete with a giant model aeroplane right at the centre. Intrigued? Watch the theatre-play inspired video here! Our heartfelt congratulations to Alvin who tied the knot with Tiffany over the weekend!

Alex and Juan's Proposal 18th May'13

Remember Alex and Juan's Proposal? Here's what happened that day! On 18th May, Juan was supposedly to be waiting for Alex to go for their dinner date but he had something else planned for her. Her favourite Kombi came and picked her up to the place where they first met. During the journey, there was a special Jay Chou video that Alex did for her too! She was laughing and crying while watching the video. Her comments? "It's so funny but I don't know why I'm crying..." When she arrived, she was welcomed by her best of friends and of course Alex with a very important question he wanted to ask. Singing, laughing and tearing. Everyone who attended the proposal felt so loved from his effort. We are truly blessed to be part of it. Congratulations once again to Alex and Juan on your engagement!
