The establishment of Ministry of DJs (MODJs) is to give youth the necessary skills to explore and unleash their true musical creativity in being a disc jockey

MODJs teaches students about how to DJ right in a relaxed environment where their style, ideas and goals matter the most. Whether this is a passion or a hobby being a DJ can grow to be much more than that, a fun lifestyle while you get to share the music you love in your own settings or elsewhere.

MODJs also provide opportunities for interviews with key people in the industry such as promoters, club owners, and record company executives, so that one can learn the inside secrets on how to make it in the industry. Our instructors are also current active DJs at prominent dance clubs in Singapore with vast amounts of experience. Whether one is a complete beginner, or a professional looking to fine tune their skills, MODJs has got them covered.

At Ministry of DJs, we firmly believe in our core values – Learn, Apply, Deliver.

Our students from hobbyists as young as 5, to working professionals from corporate divisions, have achieved ideal results through our courses crafted by a team of professional DJs, educators, and industry leaders.

We prepare each and every student under our care to be ready on gaining insight by providing them access to state-of-the-art technology provided by Apple, Rane, Pioneer, Native Instruments and many more. Students also receive training from industry specialists and professional music curators with a combined experience of at least 80 years, covering a vast array of genres around the world. Being a disc jockey is a performing art, and we ensure that all DJs are able to deliver quality performance prior to their completion of course, especially where first impression makes the biggest impact in this scene.

Patience is of paramount importance when it comes to establishing a solid foundation before helming the decks, unless one can be easily convinced that a huge house takes less than 20 hours to build. In example – some of our instructors have been called in to mitigate several instances where bad music provided by other sources drove people away from venues. This is what happens if the DJ is not well-equipped or knowledgeable enough to handle the situation given. We do not assure our students that they get to play in clubs immediately after completion, we believe in letting our students earn their rights while retaining the value of exclusiveness.

1. Our instructors are currently prominent DJs in the industry, equipped with many years of experience of entertaining the dance floor. They are also MOE approved and also a handful of them are Guinness World Record Holders.

2. Our studio is furnished with top Pioneer DJ equipment to support this program. This ensures that our students would have a chance to experience DJ-ing with tools used at a professional level. Students are entitled to discounts on selected Pioneer DJ Products.

3. Not only do we train students mixing techniques, but we also educate them on how to arrange and program their music, such as augmenting performances with advanced mixing tricks and song transitions, and to properly utilize features on the DJ software and equipment. Our focus is to teach them how to BE A DJ instead of simply how to DJ.

4. Students will be guided from a beginner DJ to becoming live performance-level professionals, as we provide opportunities for our students to perform at events and to play in clubs.

5. To date, we have students from more than 16 countries, Brazil, Korea, Mexico, France, USA, Japan, Canada and Russia, just to name a few, whom have joined us for our courses.

6. We are now officially partners with ABLETON and music production students are able to purchase Ableton Live 10 at an educational price. Also we are able to provide primary and secondary schools with unlimited Ableton Live 10 Introlicenses. Schools are free to keep them installed on their computers even after the course is completed.

7. We are also now officially endorsed by ClubKillers, one of the most widely used record pools in the world today. Students are now able to enjoy a FREE 30 day trial on clubkillers.com upon sign up !

8. We are also now officially partners with Serato and students are able to purchase Serato DJ software at an educational price.

We also conduct DJ CCA, elective modules, enrichment courses for MOE schools and as well as corporate DJ workshops. All of our instructors are MOE approved and are also Guinness World Record Holders.
