My colleagues and I received the dreaded news of "ππ πππ πππππππ πππ ππππππ πππ" that fateful year; before CNY to say the least. When our bosses offer to recommend us to some other events company, we (as in my senior executive and I) simply told our bosses we ain't looking for another job cos we are gonna start our .

It was a smooth as our bosses told us to take all the clients and they will us with our AV requirements. With existing clients, it made the business entry so much easier but it also became a as we serious business development and it hit hard when we lost some clients along the way due to change of person in-charge, etc.
My business partner left after 3 years of partnership & I have ran the business since. It was , but it was indeed . I am grateful for the learning curve and am proud to share some of our over the #22 in operations :-

You DO NOT NEED to build relationships with EVERYONE. I cannot tell you who you should build such relationships. I can only say go with your gut. Stay clear from those whose vibes are not in sync with you. You do not have to ignore them, stay cordial, but you really do not need them to be your BFF!

I always have the habit of prompt payment with my vendors and also my staff. It was this habit which earned me "brownie points" for future because when there were times I need extra credit terms, I was given extension with no questions asked.

We are in business to provide a solution to our clients or potential clients problem. But sometimes we might not have the best solutions or the resources to deliver the best service. At such times, I will politely turn them down and offer to connect them to associates who can take over the project.
From 2025, Red Box Events will focus on and . Plus, I will re-surface Red Box Consultancy as a LLP to take care of training focusing on .
