Rice Bowl Pixels believes in the perpetuality of cinematography in capturing cherished memories. As the chinese saying goes, "it's our rice-bowl afterall". Jiexiao, or Jay for the non-tongue twisters, is the main man behind the lens. By day he functions as a dance artist & swimming instructor; by engagement he morphs into DOP (Director of Photog

raphy), Director, Lighting Designer, Audio-man, Scriptwriter, & Friend, all rolled into one ambrosial sushi. Stemming from his experience with music & movement, he avows cinematography as analogous to choreography. While working with quiet curiosity where necessary, he swears by meticulous considerations in his editing process. A fortuitous laugh, an unrestrained tear ... it is people that matter in our works. To capture people in their rawest response to our work .. that is our greatest motivation.

Impinged is an exhibition of the various art/dance short films that Miao Dance has produced or been involved in over the past half decade.
