TVworkshop Asia Pte Ltd had the pleasure of organizing an unforgettable 3 days, 2 nights company retreat for Braindge Singapore at the stunning Grand Lagoi Hotel Bintan.

With 25 participants, the trip was packed with fun activities and team bonding moments!

🎯 Day 1 kicked off with an exciting ferry ride, followed by an adrenaline-filled paintball game and beach team-building activities like tug of war and a sandcastle competition!

🧗‍♂️ Day 2 was all about adventure, with a challenging mountain climbing experience at Gunung Bintan Besar. In the evening, Braindge celebrated their 10th Anniversary with a special dinner and KTV entertainment!

🏝 Day 3 was the perfect wrap-up with a relaxing morning, local shopping, and a smooth ferry ride back to Singapore. It was an experience to remember!

TVworkshop Asia Pte Ltd organized a 2-day/1-night company retreat for Scania Singapore to Penang on the 25th and 26th of May, 2024.

After our arrival in the morning, we started with a site visit to the Scania Penang office to meet our colleagues there. We then enjoyed a delightful lunch together. After lunch, we checked in at the Bayview Resort Penang.

In the afternoon, we embarked on a tour of the charming Old Town Penang. The evening was capped off with a delicious dinner at a local restaurant.

On Day 2, we began with a relaxing breakfast at the resort, followed by some leisure time to enjoy the serene atmosphere. Later, we headed back to the airport for our flight back to Singapore.

The retreat was a wonderful opportunity for bonding and team-building, leaving everyone refreshed and connected.

We as travellers paid to much for the ferry tickets to Batam the last 2 to 3 years? Let me know your thoughts!

Some highlights of the possible price fixing case in Singapore by the 4 ferry operators:

* Indonesia’s independent business watchdog disclosed that it has launched a probe into potential collusion and price-fixing among ferry operators on the route.

* On May 29, Indonesia’s Business Competition Supervisory Commission revealed that operators charged 800,000 rupiah (S$67) to 900,000 rupiah for a round-trip ticket from January to June 2022, more than twice the usual price of 270,000 rupiah to 450,000 rupiah.

* Mr Ridho Pamungkas, the commission’s chief for the northern Sumatra region, told ST that four operators are under investigation for alleged cartel practices, with their Singapore-based parent companies yet to be summoned

* The prices now are unreasonably high. It appears the businesses have agreed to fix prices at similar high values, so there is no competition between them.

* Mr Ridho noted that ferry ticket prices between Batam and Johor Bahru are lower despite the longer two-hour journey, so the Batam-Singapore fare is “an unhealthy sign
