Couples often ask me ‘what to prepare for first look?’, and are often stressed out about it.
Thing is — first look is meant to be a session exclusive to the both of you, just to spend some quiet moments together before you celebrate with friends and families. There shouldn’t be any pressure to make grand plans for the first look/quiet moment, to make it ‘insta-worthy’. It is a moment meant for the both of you :)
We always make a conscious effort to stay further away from our couples during their first look/quiet moment, so that they can have a more private conversation.
You have planned for the wedding for a long time, why not spend 5-10 mins with one another? 💫
David & Samantha ✨
David and Samantha are based in the UK, and unfortunately due to the situation back then, Samantha's parents still couldn't fly to Singapore to attend their wedding. I personally felt so sad when as I watched Samantha walk down the aisle on her own, but when I see how they looked at each other, I knew that they were gonna be a-okay.
David and Samantha are both so, so humble, caring and kind towards everyone around them. After postponements, their wedding reception still could not take place, and they only had the holy matrimony to celebrate with their closest and dearest. All thanks to livestream made possible by @kactussg, their other friends and families from all over the world could join in on the celebration as well.
Congratulations once again, David and Samantha. I'll be sure to ping you guys if I ever go back to UK for holidays! 😉

Jason & Michelle’s Oriental Wedding Decor
The wedding reception we had in KL was a tribute to our parents, grandparents and relatives - which is why it was a super oriental one!
We made sure to make full use of the large foyer by creating 2 different set-ups. One was to mimic a living room (fun fact: some of the items in the set up were brought to the venue from my parents' house!); another set is actually a "grocery store" set up, where the name of the grocery store is the actual name of the grocery store that my dad and his cousins used to work at. When his cousins and families arrived on that day, they were so pleasantly surprised, and needless to say - they took SO MANY PICTURES.
Connecting these 2 setups, was a walkway lit with red lanterns, and an overhead signboard that has both our surnames with a 囍 (double happiness) word.
On top of that, we also managed to source for a dragon beard candy master, who was busy making the candies from scratch, on the spot! to complement the entire set up, the team also created the cart which was used as a booth for the master to work at 🙂
The entire set up took place the day before the wedding, as well as the afternoon before the reception started. Definitely a back breaking job and we are so, so, so thankful to the team for their hard work and effort ❤
