10 YEARS AGO TODAY…

HUONE’s opened its doors to customers🧡 A little inside story goes ….the first event was a company’s Christmas party, which involved, well many…challenges such as food running out (ended up ordering pizza). Over the years, we’ve learned and grown 💪

Today with over 14,000 meetings and events hosted and visited by 230,000 guests, in three countries, our heart is full of gratitude and excitement!🧡

Meetings and events are back in full swing, and the outlook for the coming years is positive. We will always stay committed to finding ways to innovate and create

Evon Blomstedt, the founder of HUONE, was featured in series by Clarke Quay Singapore, where Huone Events Hotel Singapore is located. She shared her inspiration for .

"...When I visited Clark Quay myself, everything changed. I was overwhelmed, mainly by its history and that feeling of being in-between two worlds.

I was overwhelmed by how calm it was during the day. Also, I could feel the both worlds from HUONE’s balcony looking over the river: 200 years fo history on one side and the modern skyscrapers on the other. 'What an iconic and perfect place for business leaders to gather and innovate.' I thought at that time.

So, when designing the space, we incorporated just that: as much as we pay HUONE’s own homage to our Finnish roots (HUONE means in Finnish ‘room), I wanted to reflect and pay homage to the area’s historical roots and its story. For example, the Forest room, inspired by Nordic birch forests and a warehouse room, inspired by CQ’s history"

What was your inspiration behind opening HUONE Singapore in Clarke Quay?

Evon: When I visited Clarke Quay myself, I was overwhelmed, mainly by its history and that feeling of being in-between two worlds. I wanted to reflect and pay homage to the area’s historical roots and its story.

How do you stay motivated?

Evon: I want to make a difference. That makes me stay motivated. HUONE is a twist on your traditional meeting space. Meeting people in business is the key to any innovations. And meeting people in business is more than a job, it can be an experience, an experience that would make a difference.
