We have been nurturing MKuking since 2013 from Amoy St and since then we have been participating in bazaar, food festival locally and internationally and we believe that it’s high time to tell you a little bit more about us.
MKuking is proudly 100% Muslim and Singaporean owned SME.
Our food and culinary range reflect Singapore and its South East Asia’s culture and heritage through the aromatic flavours of street food with a modern touch.
Our business all started with our iconic family recipe of noodles, famously known in the year 70’s as “Mee Wak Katok’.
Our passionate and talented head chef Asman has resurrected the recipe, breathing in his own flair to bring in new flavours, and serving it in a unique packaging with a contemporary design to appease the younger generations.
Our yellow or kway teow noodles are infused in a richly flavoured broth and enhanced by our fiery well-guarded family recipe of sambal chili. The original “Mee Wak Katok” has been renamed to “Katok Kotak” which comes with a choice of either tenderloin beef slices or marinated chicken chunks.
Our head chef has also come up with “Krusty Katok”, a seafood version served with big prawns.
Based on your positive response, our head chef is committed to revisit traditional and iconic dishes to bring out their best flavours.
Our Mee Bandung Muar has now been served since 2017 and has received positive feedback as one of the best in Singapore.
In 2019, our head chef has tried our dishes using freshly made noodles.
We have participated in food festival around Singapore and Malaysia such as Halal Expo, Halal International, Celebfest, Twilight, KB Food Fest, MakBesar Powerhouse, Farah Diana Events, CNY River Hongbao, Luxe Affair Carnival, Maqan Food Fest 2020, Cik B Vaganza, HAVOC, Desaru International Bike Week 2019.
We were in the Philippines for the World Street Food Congress 2017 and this was a thrilling experience and mind opener for our team.
We are also doing wedding and birthday live stations.
However, we have not forgotten our roots and street food origins as we continue to support local community and charity events.
