One of the best things about living in Singapore is our accessibility to foods from many different cultures. So I was truly aghast that it took me this long to discover .sg
sg was started by Monica, a Colombian, who started making her own empanadas after missing food from home. For my recent order, I tried the Carribean (pulled) beef, onions and cheese and ham and cheese flavours and I loved them all!

The pulled beef was flavourful and juicy with hints of spices.. I had to stop myself from finishing up the whole order!

Her empanadas come freshly baked or frozen, with a minimum order of 12 (2 flavours mix maximum). You best believe me when I tell you that you will want them frozen and stashed in the freezer for mid-day (or midnight) hunger pangs!

DM Monica or whatsapp (faster) her at 9101 7981 so she can send you a menu. Pick your flavours and decide whether you want to pick up your order from her (Katong Shopping Centre, pickup only) or have her deliver them to you!

And lastly, you need to bookmark her page for the upcoming festive season! Trust me!

Hispanic heritage month,

Exploring the history of empanadas and talking a little about their anatomy, ingredients, preparation, flavor variations, exploring similar foods in different countries was our contribution during this month.
Busy month but definitely a very fun experience.

U.S. Embassy Singapore’s Diversity and Inclusion Working Group invited Monica Beltran from Munets Empanadas to talk about the rich and tasty history of empanadas in celebration of ! We learned so much about the culinary history, importance, and creation of empanadas in a virtual sharing session. We also tasted four delicious varieties of empanadas!
