When looking to make a documentary about Country music outside of the US, director Jesse Rudoy searched the world to find a suitable band, picking Eswatini’s own Dusty & Stones for their passion and dedication in telling Eswatini stories Country style.
This is their story – the story of how two country music singers from rural Eswatini struggled against the odds to bring home an award from one of Country music’s most prestigious awards event.
Dusty and Stones are three-time Swazi NACA award winners, South African Country Music Artist Foundation’s 2018 International Artists of the Year, and Texas Sound International Country Music Awards 2017 Duo of the Year.

This newly established, dynamic new label has an authentic and eclectic focus, featuring some of the finest musical and artistic talents from across Africa.
“It’s exciting to be pairing up such dynamic performers, producing and experiencing the creation of unique work. The result is that we are supporting arts mobility and developing regional artist brands through the cross-pollination of diverse fan bases,” said festival Creative Director Jiggs Thorne.
Bushfire Records is brought to you by MTN Bushfire, the globally acclaimed annual international festival of music and the arts in Eswatini. Since inception in 2007, MTN Bushfire has achieved a worldwide reputation for its visionary and authentic approach to raising awareness of the need for positive social and environmental change through the “Bring Your Fire” call to action.
Bushfire Records will distribute the new, dynamic songs produced by House On Fire’s CollaboNation project, in partnership with Paradise Worldwide, an independent European-based distribution company.
