DMC Thailand Rules
About the Finals
All contestants must arrive at the designated location and time. Failure to do so may result in the contestant's right to participate being forfeited.
All contestants must bring their own DJ mixer, record needles, records, a full set of DVS equipment, a slip mat, and headphones. The DMC JAPAN office will only provide a Technics SL-1200MK7 turntables.
Two turntables and one DJ mixer must be used. The use of external equipment is not permitted. (We recommend using Technics SL-1200 [MK3 / MK3D / MK5 (MK5G) / MK6 / MK7 / M7L / GR and series] turntables, Technics SH-EX1200, Rane Seventy, Rane Seventy Two, Pioneer DJM-S11, Pioneer DJM-S9, Pioneer DJM-S7, Pioneer DJM-S5, Reloop ELITE).
In addition, both analog records and DVS are permitted in both the single and battle divisions.
Only the winners of each division will be given the right to compete in the world championships and the right to defend their title in the Thailand finals the following year.
The judging criteria will follow the regulations of the DMC Thailand HQ office. Based on rhythm keeping, the judging will be based on techniques such as scratching, beat juggling, and tricks, the ability to assemble these, originality, musicality, etc.
If there is equipment trouble during a performance, DMC Thailand HQ Office will decide whether or not to perform it again.
The order of performances will be decided by the draws on the competition date at beginning of rehearsals.
The DJ stand used in the performance will be 900mm high x 1500mm wide x 600mm deep.
Contestants who pass the video screening can participate.
Performance time will be 6 minutes.
Judges selected by DMC Thailand HQ Office will score the performances and select the DJ with the highest overall score. In the event of a tie, the judges and DMC Thailand HQ Office will consult with the tied contestants and decide the winner.

Performances will be 90 seconds x 2 in the first round, and 90 seconds x 2 in the semi-finals and finals. So all 90 seconds! So DJs who will make it to the final round have to prepare 90 seconds x 6 routines.
Judges selected by DMC Thailand HQ Office will decide the winner(with blue/red flag) at the end of each battle. The winner will be decided in a tournament format.
The tournament opponents and the position of the corners will be decided by the office.
