keepsakes for birthdays- be it yours or your family's. And not just birthdays, we love planning bridal showers, engagement parties, wedding reception and of course baby showers (who doesn’t?!)or even any excuse to throw a party! Our bespoke decor and custom art are the best keepsakes, as we believe every celebration in life deserve it’s own bespoke memories. And of-course we love cakes! Our boutique cakes and small bites are made with the finest available gourmet ingredients. We believe in our cakes and sweet things to do their own talking and think it's unfair to hide their goodness with
err.. So, if you are a lover of cakes, you'll understand what I am saying. We are also firm believers that simplicity and greatness go hand in hand. So you will see us go Ga-Ga on a naked cake and at the same time on a complicated design. We love challenging our creativity to make something that tastes great and looks great as well. ‘Now, if there was no love what would us mortals be?’. I am no poet but I sure know what love holds. Love that was passed onto me by my creative genius- my Mother, is what I share with you. Lessons learned through years by watching her, imitating her, learning from my mistakes and finally mustering the courage to do what I love. All that the birthday girl wanted was her favourite dog on the cake. As a dog lover myself, it was such a joy to draw ‘Kaia’ on the cake, with her captivating eyes!

Hi there! 👋 I’m Sneha, the face behind BENKAH. I see a lot of new followers so if you are wondering who’s behind the brand, here’s a little (or maybe a lot) about me:

✨ Born and raised in the dreamy, tropical paradise of Southern India, KERALA 🏝️

✨ I’ve got a Masters Degree in Public Relations, but my creativity always had other plans—yep, I was once a Jewellery Designer! (Surprise, surprise, right?)

✨ Oh, and I interned with the Public Relations Department of the Government of Kerala. Spoiler alert: that’s when I realized politics was *definitely* not for me.

✨ My life journey has taken me from INDIA 🇮🇳 to Hong Kong 🇭🇰 and now Thailand 🇹🇭—all very different places, all with amazing stories.

✨ Fun fact: I never entered a kitchen until I was 26. Now, it’s basically my second home where I bake up a storm! 🍰 (Who knew?!)

Alright, ready for round two of my fun facts? Here we go!

💦 I used to be *terrified* of water, so naturally, I decided to learn swimming at 26. I wouldn’t call myself an Olympic swimmer yet, but hey, I can float! 😂

🍰 My first-ever cake was baked for my son’s first birthday back in 2013. And no, that’s not how BENKAH began (most of you already know that story from our website, right?)

🦁 I once found myself face-to-face with a lioness in Zimbabwe. Yes, an actual lioness, not the metaphorical one inside me. Let’s just say, I’m really glad she wasn’t hungry!

🏃‍♀️ In school, I was obsessed with running and was even the Sports Captain during my undergrad days. But for some reason, I’ve never mastered the art of skipping—seriously, I’m terrible at it! 😂

And here we are—final facts! If you’ve made it this far, thank you for sticking with me through this fun little journey! Let’s wrap it up:

🎉 BENKAH was born on July 16th, 2016, and it’s been 8 incredible years of creative magic ever since.

👭 One thing I’ve learned? Women are unstoppable when they lift each other up. I’m lucky to have a tribe of supportive women around me, and if you’ve got one, hold onto them! And if you’re still looking for yours, I hope you find them soon. 💖

📸 Shoutout to the super talented who worked her magic behind the camera for my brand shoot—thanks to her, I’ve got some fab photos to show off!

🗻 Lastly, I challenged myself to climb Mt. Fuji to say goodbye to my 30s—and guess what? I did it, against all odds! 💪

🎂 Oh, and did you know? Every BENKAH cake is made to order, and most of our designs start off as hand-sketched masterpieces, which are then approved until we’ve got the perfect look! Think of it like cake couture—every detail is tailored, right down to the final sprinkle!

** Minecraft Cake **

And once again I was tasked by my son to come up with the impossible for his birthday. A Minecraft cake for the Minecraft fanatic!
Now, most of you know I don’t work with fondant (due to many reasons) so working on a 3D cake makes it all the more difficult.
So, thinking outside the box (pure coincidence the cake turned out to be a box!), I came up with the BRI-LL-IANT idea ( in all humility) of creating a moss village with standing structures and of course with edible moss.
Multiple designs and sketches later, the final structure was approved. YAY!!
The moss was definitely a hit and the cake was loved by all, especially the birthday boy!
Mission complete ❤️

Cake Deets: A dark chocolate lovers dream cake! DC ganache frosting in and out on a decadent DC cake with edible chocolate structures and moss.

And of course I have to end with a Minecraft pun. Can you guess the answer?

**How is it the end of January already?**

Is it just me or was it just few days ago we celebrated New Year?!
Well, time is slipping away real fast and I hope all of my cake lovers are doing well. If it wasn’t for my mom’s constant reminder, I would have forgotten to post amidst this busy-ness that life is!

Did we say we love parties? Well, one of the best thing about them is letting your imagination run wild with the decor. This is one area where our creative juices knows no end. We specialise in bespoke event decor, party invitations, custom art and keepsakes for birthdays- be it yours, your child’s or even your spouse. And not just birthdays, we love planning bridal showers, engagement parties, wedding reception and of course baby showers ( who doesn’t ?!) or even any excuse to throw a party! Our bespoke decor and custom art are the best keepsakes one can have. We believe every celebration in life deserve it’s own bespoke memories.

Homemade Goodness

Boutique cakes and small bites made with best organic ingredients and NO refined sugar. We believe in our cakes and sweet things to do their own talking and it’s unfair to hide their goodness with err.. fondant. If you are a true believer of cakes, you know what I mean. We love to transform simple recipes to something extraordinary, one that you will never forget. Trust me when I say - ‘This is pure Guilt-Free indulgence’.
