Rotary Club of Bangkapi is engaging in various different projects;

Annual Projects;
Yearly Disabled Children outing - a day trip to the beach in Cha Am for 120 - 150 Children with body disabilities & vision impairments in collaboration with the Rotary Clubs of Lopburi, Royal Hua Hin & Eastern Seaboard (Pattaya)

Yearly Christmas charity outing to Baan Muang Song Thoo School in the hilly side of

Kanchanburi Province in the district of Thong Pha P**n near to the border of Myanmar, providing warm clothing and other winter necessities for the over 400 preschool to grade 2 pupils. Projects in Rural Areas:
Clean Drinking Water and Sanitation Projects in Nakorn Sawan, Pichit, Prachinburi and Prajuab Khirikhan Province in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Sae Suwon (South Korea)
Prosthetic legs for children stepping on landmines near the Cambodian border - a project made possible through Rotary International's Matching Grants. Computer donations & trainig for secondary school in Pichitand Prachinburi Province
Libraries & Literacy projects for schools in the Minburi and Pichit areas. Computers & LCD's for children at Ban Khok Panomdee School in Prachinburi, Province in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Tokyo New Ginza, Japan. Bio-gas project benefiting the children at Tha Wang Hin School in Prajuab Khirikhan Province and the villagers nearby, in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Sae Suwon (South Korea)
Mobile unit for early tuberculosis detection and prevention, in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Delhi North (India)

Bangkok & Vicinity Project:
Libraries & Literacy projects, computer donations and computer training for needy schools with the help of Rotary Club of Sae Suwon (South Korea)

Joint National PolioPlus Immunization project providing oral vaccine to children in the Bangkapi area on a yearly basis

Computer vocational training for the disabled at the Foundation for Support & Development of disabled Persons in Pakkred, Nontaburi Province. Hearing aid distribution in the Bangkapi area with the assistance of the Rotary Club of Koko-Bunji (Japan). Eye examination and distribution of reading glasses to needy children at the primary schools in Bangkapi area.

RC Bangkapi's other Global Grant project was donating vital sign monitors to Thasongyang Hospital which is in a mountainous region and a far distance away from similar healthcare facilities. Increasing the capacity of the hospital will reduce referrals to other hospitals and save expenses especially for those living in the local area which includes many underprivileged people.

The hospital doctors and nurses receive automatic alerts for critical vital signs, allowing them to perform life saving medical procedures.

We were joined by International Partner RC Ulsan Hoam and Local Partner RC Maesot Muangchod.

Photos of our Global Grant project donating medical equipment including a mobile scanner and transport incubator to Umphang Hospital.

This is a community hospital in a remote area on the border between Thailand and Myanmar. This is the only hospital for 150 kilometers and hospital workers regularly travel to patient areas outside the hospital.

Our project mainly assists those who are needy and unable to travel to the hospital in time for treatment. With the equipment, hospital workers can detect specific illnesses affecting patients at home at an early stage and neonatal babies will have improved chances of survival.

We were joined by International Partner RC Ulsan North and Local Sponsor RC Maesot Muangchod.

Scenes from Today's Lunch at the Grand Hyatt Erawan at which Rotary Club of Bang Kapi had the pleasure of hosting District Governor Marasee Skunliew and her team.

Our annual Fundraiser will be a Jazz and Dinner Evening on 2nd December 6:30 to 9:30 at the Grand Hyatt, Erawan. It will feature stars from the World Renowned Mahidol Big Band and Jean Louis of the Jazz Cool band. Join us for what will be an incredible evening Tickets are 1500THB each or a table of ten can be booked for 12000THB; tickets are going fast, so pre book now by DM or by emailing [email protected].

This water purification project is an example of why we are Rotarians and the things that we can achieve together. Projects such as these are only possible with raised funds - from within Rotary clubs and from concerned friends - a great way to donate and have a wonderful evening with friends , loved ones or that special someone is to attend our Jazz evening on 2nd December 2017 at the Grand Hyatt, Erawan. A slideshow of moments of fellowship with our fellow Rotarians from Rotary Club of Tokyo Ginza New. Their partnership in our recent water purification system installation was vital and the project would not have been possible without them - we are grateful for their help and look forward to our next amazing collaboration.

For those of you so inclined here is a slideshow of the recently installed water purification system at a school in Prachaub Kirikhan. Should anyone wish for the technical specifications please DM us. Don't forget to come to our Jazz evening on 2nd December, have an amazing time and help us build funds for the next installation!
