“Symbolising the coming together of our families from the East and the West, Çırağan Palace Istanbul played the perfect backdrop for our wedding. Our story evolved through the test of a long-distance relationship during a pandemic, between New York and Singapore. Looking back, it only brought us closer.
Bringing in Tarun Tahiliani’s India Modern vision for our wedding outfits made most sense. Since I’ve always been quite traditional, I wanted to give a nod to the regal elegance that the palace brought in—through craftsmanship, fabrics, workmanship and timeless pieces.”
Rovena Mehta is seen here in our Kasheeda ombre lehenga that features intricate aari & zardozi work and is highlighted with Swarovski crystals all over. It is paired with a matching blouse, an intricate dupatta and a tulle veil.
Karan Punjabi is seen here in our ivory raw silk sherwani embellished with tonal silk threads and gold zardozi embroidery. It is paired with our jacquard kurta, pleated stole, embroidered kamarbandh and churidar.
The Mehta and the Punjabi family chose custom Tarun Tahiliani ensembles for this wedding celebration.
