It was a fun CLAYDAY at DeeArt Creative, someone orded a nice Jungle Safari cake topper set but wanted it to be made with the DeeArtCPClay as they wanted it as a Keepsake.... this is my NON-EDIBLE version of fondant.
Many ppl don't know I do this. I discovered the depth of my ability to do this during the pandemic. It was what kept my business alive in that very rough and trying time when there were no events, no contact, so face painting was impossible.(more pics of other creations in video)
When I realized bakers were still allowed, I brainstormed and figured out a way, I opened a cake topper service selling my creations to Cakers through out Trinidad from Sangre Grande to POS.... I made cardstock cutout toppers, printed cutout, edible images, fondant, and a clay version was my mastermind. Interest for it grew beyond my imagination.....
I make my clay and now have a few versions of it as I continue to experiment and test and do different things with it. It must have the ability to hold details other features are; its lightweight, air dries, it can be easily pre coloured. It can be painted without priming, and all ingredients are non-toxic π₯°.
I discovered my clay can be sculpted to make earrings, themed decorations, cosplay pieces, and I actually used some on a carnival costume I helped work on in 2024... I use it to sculpt in 3D, characters, animals, and people. It's moldable and can also be used with cookie cutters.
Im now testing for my sfx, sculpting mold masters for latex prosthetics.... this will be epic.... can't wait to see how this unfolds....

I found some old photos of face painting and body art I did a while back with time stamps on them according to Facebook, as early as 2010 up to 2013.....
Wonderful memories from that time, even photos of me painting my own belly when I was having Logan. To my first body art showcase. That art had made frontpage of the newspapers at that timΔΊme. There are so many more, but the photo quality of that time wasn't too hot up....

The request for me to be brought on to this team suggested by @1000mokos to do what I love was "EPIC".
I went, I saw and I gave an absolute yes! I will continue to claim THE best ppl to work with are the ones who grant you creative freedom with no micro management on a project, just a description of the intent, and that's it ....
However, this time, I wanted to be directed for the fear of messing up, " for goodness sake me ain't know nothing about making/painting ma's and this is for competition. I wanted to do what they say."
But, my guy Adrian put meh on saying do my thing, he's going downstairs to organise something, and he would trust whatever I did π screams, π(all I could think was whey he come out?) like that get meh more chupid....

But surely enough, as I picked up my brush, I mixed 4 base colours for each character. All I can say is that it magically happened. As if my brush knew what to do, the texture, shapeof the faces, size, being up high, nothing bothered me, I just did! ....
This piece designed by Adrian Young, aka Daddy Jumbie, is a creative masterpiece, the fact that he performs it on sticks as a great illusion between some of TT's carnivals main characters is more amazing.
I am now discovering this world of Mokos, as my Logan is embarking on his adventure, bringing me along on his journey. Something even more epic happened, Adrain allowed me to bring Logan over. The next thing I know was Adrian up on his sticks vibing with Logan showing and giving him tips to better his skills... if nothing else, this won me.... seeing Logan in that moment was everything.
More opportunities came as we met more and more Mokos, who encouraged Logan and before I knew it is my child properly crossing the savannah stage not just once at prelims, with an amazing Moko Queen @stephaniekanhai who didn't care that he haven't even walk sticks in the street yet and the 2nd time with her king, Moko @tou
