When Nikeshah contacted me months ago to cater their wedding reception i felt so overwhelmingly blessed to have been chosen and then the icing on the cake came when i was told we were to be catering their beautiful reception at none other than the breathtaking location - The Backyard ... Covid has take so many things from us all...... including those grand Christmas dinners and limes where bosses, workers, spouses, etc. had an evening to just celebrate and enjoy the festivities of the season. But, it's been such an honor to have helped a few people who although their numbers were considerably smaller and there were no DJ's, parang bands, grand christmas decor or evening gowns as part of the festivities bring some semblance of Christmas cheer😊😊........ Vegetable rice, Christmas Salad, Pineapple infused Chicken, Roasted turkey, Ham, Beef / Chicken / Soya Pastelles, Pigeon peas, Potato au gratin, Mushrooms & tofu medley. Strawberry cheesecake for desert 😎

You see a plate of food..... I see God's grace and my blessings. Many days I'm busy with everyone else's amazing menus but, the time is crazy to have a meal ready on time for my family. Just like a child, it takes a village sometimes to grow a business. Days like this one, I was so grateful that my mother-in-law prepared this meal for us and allowed me to focus on pastelle production all day. When I'm swamped but overwhelmed with other aspects of the business I have a sister-in-law that puts her own busy schedule on hold to jump rite in. Opportunity to make an extra dollar, my brother-in-law is Always there to support and open a door.😊😊😊😊. From babysitting to meals, to the calls just to make sure I'm remembering to use the foot massager to reduce the swelling of my feet I thank God for these blessings. I appreciate all that you guys do for our family and me personally Mom, Candy and Tommy.... ❤❤❤

Marcia's Kitchen customers and followers it's been a minute I know since you've seen the food and posts you love so much..... 🙁🙁🙁. A few weeks ago, a medical emergency took me out of the Kitchen for a bit and on the road for physical and emotional healing. I can't believe how many of you not only noticed the lack of posts and reached out concerned- I am reminded yet again of God's grace and mercy in my life in the form of my Marcia's Kitchen family ❤❤❤❤❤. To my husband and children who cared for me and nursed me back to health, my in-laws who always got my back, my friends and customers who ARE family who reached out, sent flowers, prayers and healing vibes thank you thank you thank you. What does not kill us makes us stronger and sometimes makes us take stock of ourselves as individuals and the journey we are on in life. My journey has only just begun and I intend to live being the best and kindest version to myself and those who truly value the blessings that I wish to give and receive. . . . On that note, get ready for all of the great food pics and offerings that you love so much and look out for the many exciting directions that the Marcia's Kitchen page and Family are about to take with all of you. The greatest blessings in life are providing someone with a meal and using your gifts and talents to help those in need. So honored to be given the opportunity to experience both. People who know me and the business I have been working 7 days a week, 24 hours a day to build in the last year have been calling and messaging furious this morning about this review. Many will wonder why on earth I would repost it but let's be honest guys every person has their own personal tastes and opinions. It was my decision to offer my Seafood Boil to the guys at Rendilina's as a gift on their Anniversary and as such I am grateful for their review. It is with deep sorrow that I make this post. 😔😔😔. I have always said that Marcia's Kitchen was never about just having customers but, about building a family, lifetime friendships and a community. I save every customer's names and messages, I know their spouses, children, even parents in some instances and their pets. My 2 passions in life - food and people...... Last night I was sent the tragic news of the death of a Marcia's Kitchen family member - my heart is shattered, my body feels numb..... 😭😭😭😭😭. Dario Samaroo I have had people I've known all my life pass and not taken it so hard. You and your lovely spouse were so supportive of me and my business- I still have the video you sent me of your little daughter's excitement when she saw the seafood boil. I still have the msg you sent telling me you don't like stale food but my Sunday lunch lash again on Monday...... I just can't believe you are gone- I never got to do the wings, mash and vegetables for you boy 😪😪😪😪😪. Losing you has hit hard my brother- I will forever be grateful for your light in my life and our short friendship....💔💔💔💔💔. Family is not always about blood.... Family is unwavering support, love and prayers..... a constant light and compass towards your true God-given talents and potential....... people who in your drowning moments would throw you a lifeline every single time. To this end I have become a Bethel and the matriarch and patriarch Jocelyn Mondesir-Bethel and Frank Bethel have become my parents..... Words cannot express the love, admiration and respect I have for this amazing couple who today celebrate their 40th Wedding Anniversary. I'm not sure how many times it's happened but between Mommy Joyce's prayers and Daddy Frank's threats to deal with anyone who crosses me these 2 and the family they have created has continuously saved me. Life is so full of humbling moments🙏🏽🙏🏽. A former schoolmate, Couva girl and friend lost her dad and called me to make the meal arrangements for her family after the funeral. Covid has taken so much from us, including the opportunity for friends and family to congregate in large numbers to honor our loved ones as their time comes to depart. The deceased was also a friend and long-time friend of many especially in the Couva, Venture and Plipdeco families. As friends of Carlton "Baba" we say RIP and Marcia's Kitchen thanks Vanessa, Nicole and Andy for the opportunity to have been a part of honoring your dad - a great man. 💕💕💕💕

I don't think my customers understand how emotional I get when they do these and send them to me 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭. Today's food pics comes with some personal sharing...... So, twice this past week I put my heart and soul into meals (as always) and on these 2 particular occasions my gestures were met with negative feedback - not on the taste or Presentation of the meals but simply because those connected to the meals were ungrateful, spiteful and downright probably didn't deserve the love and pride I take in giving people the best. Also, this week I met several new customers - that brought light, joy and so much gratitude back into my perspective...... This is life ........up's, down's, temporary defeats and glorious victories........ 1 question remained in my head "why do we do so much and give the best to everyone else BUT think it hard to give ourselves the same royalty treatment?"
This morning I decided to prepare a special breakfast for us with the same love, attention and probably extraness😅😅 as I give to people who sometimes will never understand or appreciate it. 'sKitchen 💕💕💕

Amazing taste is important but, we're humans and we eat with our eyes 1st...... Presentation is key and there's nothing more fulfilling to me than the look on a customer's face when I present them with their meal and their jaw drops or when like these 2 customers who bought these meals for themselves and their spouses🍴💑💕...... Both ladies called and messaged after, to tell me how blown away their husbands were and appreciative of such meals.
