The 3rd Cohort of the East Port of Spain Development Company Limited’s Education to Production Construction Skills Base Training Programme is set to commence on 2nd May 2022. Registration has begun.

The programme is hinged on the philosophy of equipping residents of East Port of Spain with skills that can serve to either make the individual employable in the construction sector and/or start-up or upgrade respective businesses and as a result increase economic activity in the communities throughout East Port of Spain.

The programme offers six (6) construction skills base areas, namely, Masonry, Carpentry, Plumbing, Electrical, and Welding, all four (4) month long full-time courses delivered through service provider MIC delivered at the MIC compound Macoya. Heavy Equipment Operations, the sixth module, is a three-month programme being delivered by service provider; National Energy Skills Center (NESC) at their Woodford Lodge Campus, Chaguanas, both institutions internationally accredited in the provision of skills training for various sectors.

Transportation to and from training sites, meals, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be provided. The entire programme is free to all registered participants
