So I had a inspiring incident yesterday.
Woke up with menopause kicking my ass (just started this, so getting adjusted has been hard) and after work, I went to get water in the grocery and stood behind a young lady that just had a cake to purchase.
The cashier rang up the cake and then the lady realized that she didn't have her JTA card. I wasn't really paying attention, but she said something to the cashier and the both looked my way and asked for a JTA card. I honestly thought they were speaking to the people behind me, so I turned and looked at them, thinking I'd make way for this exchange. Only to have both the cashier and the lady smile at me and say "no YOUR card. We'll give the points to you". 😮
The shock and happy surprise I felt as I handed my card over, asking the lady if she was sure. She smiled broadly and said yes, paid and left with that same smile.
When I tell you that that gesture was felt down the line of people waiting to cash behind me! We ALL started talking and the elderly couple behind me started with "you see dat?" and the guy behind them grinning and both them and me and nodding.
I now, feeling bad to present the card again for my water was encouraged by them to still give it, with the couple giving me a story that last Christmas, they also got the points from a very large purchase from someone before them, who was obviously having a party.
I couldn't even pay it forward with my lil water purchase. However, the first chance I get, that blessing will be passed to someone else.
Do all the good you can, whenever you can, to whomever you can.
