July 2024 marked the 10th Anniversary of The Eastern Market!! The journey has been a bit of a roller coaster; never easy, sometimes heartbreaking, always rewarding. Many of you have become dear friends through the years and we still believe in local creativity and entrepreneurship. We are thankful to all of you who have joined us over the years. Blessings!

PAN TRINBAGO hosted their annual Pan and Powder Parade through Port of Spain on August 21. Starting at 5 pm at City Hall, the parade progressed along Keate and Frederick Streets before arriving at the Queen's Park Savannah.

Finally it’s Legally ours!

The Steelpan has officially been declared as the National Instrument of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago! 🇹🇹

The National Musical Instrument Bill, 2024, was debated in Trinidad and Tobago’s Parliament with unanimous support from all Members present in the House of Representatives and the Senate on July 3rd and 4th, 2024 . Senator the Honourable Randall Mitchell, Minister of Tourism, Culture and the Arts first introduced the Bill on June 7, 2024 and subsequently piloted the respective debates in Parliament.

The Steelpan is the only musical instrument invented in the 20th century and is the pride and joy of this twin island Republic.
