For 20 years, many people often thought I was in Thailand whenever I stayed in Taiwan 🇹🇼 ❤️ I could almost proudly say: I've never been to Thailand! BUT... not anymore! 2025 marked my first visit to Thailand, starting with Bangkok 📍

So, how was it? The first two days, I was a bit overwhelmed by the noise, pollution, crowds of tourists and locals, and the heavily congested traffic – it gave me some flashbacks to Ho Chi Minh City 🇻🇳 The weather was amazing (30 degrees ☀️) and the foot massages were incredibly cheap and fantastic. I walked up to 25 km daily, so I treated myself to foot, neck, and shoulder massages every single night.

The people were friendly, and I managed to avoid the common tourist scams, feeling very safe there as well

I know visiting Bangkok is just a small glimpse of Thailand, and next time, I’d love to experience more nature and fresh air!

My camera was constantly busy, and I captured either sunsets or sunrises every single day. Later this year, there will be a VLOG with all of that. One highlight was the sunset at Wat Arun temple – the sky was on fire! 🔥 I had a huge crowd of mostly tourists standing behind me, suddenly wanting the same framing as me – all very curious about what I was doing 😅 But I can’t talk much while I’m shooting in such places; I’m usually very focused on adjusting the camera and making sure no one accidentally bumps into my tripod (because if they do, all the work goes to waste...)

Thailand, I’ll be back again. But to me, Taiwan 🇹🇼 will forever remain the true heart of Asia 🥰💞

🌏 Taiwan has been my second home for decades, but shockingly, I had never been to Japan... until now! In 2024, I finally set foot on Japanese soil, ready to explore, timelapse, and experience this breathtaking (but tourist-packed) country! ⛩️🎌

💳 Fun Fact: Getting my hands on the legendary "Suica" IC card was a challenge! For iPhone users, it’s as easy as adding it to your digital wallet, but for Android users like me, the physical card was my treasure hunt! 🕵️‍♂️📱

🔍 Spot the Secret: The first part of this VLOG actually takes place in Taiwan after I returned from Japan. Did you notice? Let me know in the comments! 😁

🍣 Japan enchanted me with its scenic architecture, serene gardens, iconic temples, and insanely delicious food. However, the crowds of tourists were overwhelming at times. Next time, I'll venture into quieter, local spots to soak in the real charm. 🏯🌸

🌟✨ Once again Happy New Year! 新年快樂! 🎉🥳

After my New Year’s post, many of you reached out privately after seeing my swollen and beaten-up face. 💌 Some thought these were old photos from when Crohn's Disease hit me hard in 2020. Sadly, the photos of my swollen face were from just a couple of months ago — October and November 2024.

But guess what? The fact that I’m now in Taiwan 🇹🇼 is nothing short of a miracle! 💪 I recovered just in time before Christmas and even flew here on New Year’s Eve. 🎆✈️ Fun fact: I "celebrated" the New Year mid-flight! The captain counted down 🕛 while we flew over the Black Sea, and KLM staff served champagne. 🍾 Cheers to that! 🥂

Being back in my beloved Taiwan feels amazing. 🥰 But to avoid triggering my Crohn’s, I’m skipping many of my favorites, like coffee ☕, bubble tea 🧋, and beef noodles 🍜. Sacrifices, right?

On a brighter note, I’ve been shooting content while managing my other job. 🎥📸 I’ve captured some breathtaking timelapses, including:
🌅 A stunning sunset over Taipei City from Grand Hotel.
🌇 A private rooftop view in Songshan overlooking the Xinyi skyline.

在我發佈新年貼文後，許多人私下關心我的腫脹和傷痕累累的臉。💌 有人以為這是 2020 年克隆氏症讓我受重創時的舊照片，但其實那些腫脹的照片是去年 10 月和 11 月拍的。

不過你知道嗎？現在我能在 台灣 🇹🇼 真的是個奇蹟！💪 我在聖誕節前剛剛康復，並且在 除夕夜 飛到這裡。🎆✈️ 有趣的是，我第一次在飛機上「慶祝」新年！當我們飛越黑海時，機長倒數🕛，KLM 空服員還為大家端上香檳。🍾 為此乾杯！🥂

回到我最愛的台灣，真的太棒了！🥰 但為了不讓克隆氏症復發，我必須避免很多我最愛的東西，例如 咖啡 ☕、珍珠奶茶 🧋 和牛肉麵 🍜。這就是取捨吧！

不過好消息是，我同時拍攝內容和忙於另一份工作。🎥📸 我拍了一些令人驚豔的 縮時攝影，包括：

𝐇𝐀𝐏𝐏𝐘 𝐍𝐄𝐖 𝐘𝐄𝐀𝐑! 🎆🍾

2024 was a tough year as I faced many challenges with my Crohn's Disease (an incurable inflammatory condition affecting the intestines). I relied heavily on strong steroid medication (prednisolone) to keep going. While it helped me stay active, it came with severe side effects like facial deformation and ugly, large and inflamed wounds appearing out of nowhere on my face and body.

Despite these struggles, the very same medication allowed me to continue pursuing my passions: traveling and capturing stunning timelapse photography 🌍📸

This year was particularly meaningful because it brought me back to Taiwan 🇹🇼—the heart of Asia and where my heart truly belongs ❣️ I also embarked on my first-ever visit to Japan 🇯🇵 and revisited some amazing destinations: Malta 🇲🇹, Budapest 🇭🇺, London and Nottingham 🇬🇧, and Leuven 🇧🇪

What made 2024 truly special was reconnecting with close friends in Taiwan and creating beautiful memories together 💕📸

Looking forward, I’m hopeful for a healthier 2025 with less medication and more unforgettable moments to capture worldwide.

As you read this, I’m already back in Taiwan 🇹🇼—I flew out on New Year’s Eve, which is my ultimate way to avoid the celebrations 😬

Typhoon Gaemi hit the south of Taiwan hard this summer (2024), and I found myself stranded in a luxury resort in the heart of Kenting National Park. With all my planned outdoor timelapses canceled due to the storm, I could only shoot from the safety of my room while the typhoon raged outside. 🌧️🏨

But the adventure didn’t stop there! I made my way to Cijin Lighthouse with my friend Ivan for an unforgettable sunset session, and later, back in Taipei, I rushed to keep my promise of an interview with for his YouTube channel. 📸🌇

The grand finale? One of the most stunning sunsets of the year from a viewpoint in Ruifang District, overlooking Jiufen from the top, made even more special by my amazing lunch buddies, Anna and her husband. 🍽️🌅

A massive thank you to IG: for taking me all the way to Kenting on that stormy typhoon day 🌪️, and for the wonderful day at Cijin. Thank you for taking and sharing videos for me I could use for this!🙏

The full moon setting 🌕 over the Nantou area mountains ⛰️ followed by an incredible beautiful pinky sunrise 🌅 was probably one of my favorite mornings in Taiwan this summer. Despite I barely got any proper sleep during my 3 days at Qingjing, this particular scene boosted my energy and I felt lucky as this was my last timelapse shot I could d, before I had to return back to Taipei.
