On Saturday, December 2, 2023, NAVIL GROUP Founder, Ms.Lilian Muze Msangi, participated in a charity walk on the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. The event took place at Kituo Cha Baba Oreste under the coordination of Ms. Easter Zimba and Mr.Maurizio Robino, the center's coordinators. The walk started from Bunju A and concluded at the same center. The purpose of these walks was to build awareness in the community and advocate against violence towards children with disabilities.
As the guest of honour in the later celebrations, during her speech, Ms.Muze, emphasized on the importance of providing equal opportunities for every child, regardless of the challenges they face. She also highlighted the significance of making additional efforts to ensure that our environments are friendly and supportive for the growth of these children.
In her words, ‘It is crucial for us to educate ourselves and understand more about the needs and capabilities of children with disabilities, so that we can build a community that comprehends and respects their differences. Together, we can bring about positive change and be a source of inspiration for these children to achieve their goals.’
